About this property

the grandparents' house by the sea - L'Abeille qui gîte

The gîte, a two hundred year old character house, is located in the village of Careil, on the edge of the salt marshes of Guérande and 2 km from La Baule beach. Our geographical location will allow you to enjoy our region in all seasons (beach, sailing, walking, sport and culture, festival ....).

In summer, the sheltered garden behind the house will allow you to enjoy the beautiful days and to grill in the evening (fixed barbecue). In winter, a good fire in the fireplace will warm you up after a nice walk or bike ride (4 are provided) while reading a good book or watching a DVD on the TV. The kitchen is equipped so that lovers of good food can have fun.

In order to simplify your vacation, household linen is provided. Your beds will be made with soft duvets and each will have a toilet set (bath towel, towel, glove), 4 bathrobes to warm you up when you get out of the shower, slippers, tea towels.

Every day you will find a local market on the peninsula.

In Guérande, the JP Dhonneur aquatic center will welcome you in its different pools (slide, sauna, hammam ...) as well as in La Baule at the Aquabaule center.

Several establishments, between La Baule and Pornichet, will offer you quality thalassotherapy treatments.


the Velocean route, which allows you to cycle around the Guérande peninsula, passes near the gîte. You will be 1 hour from the Gulf of Morbihan, La Turballe (in season) you can reach the islands of Houat and Hoëdic. 2 minutes walk from the house you can visit the castle of Careil. In the evening, you can admire the sunset from Penbron beach or the port of Piriac.
To the south, you can discover the island of Noirmoutier or the Breton marsh.

Every day you will find a local market on the peninsula.

A very well equipped and beautifully clean, comfortable property. We stayed for 2 weeks and there was plenty to see and do. The bike rides from the front door are excellent. Whatever sort of holiday you're looking for this is perfect and you can be sure there is plenty of information in the cottage. We thoroughly recommend a stay.

Amazing Gite and great stay!

Veronique was the perfect host. The Gite was a beautiful place and was very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Veronique has really thought about what her guests need and provided a lot more than any other accommodation that I have stayed in Good quality bed linen, towels, bathrobes, waterproof jackets and slippers are just some of the good things on offer. The garden is a beautiful place and was lovely for my dog. The Gite is in a good location to visit all the interesting places nearby. Thank you for your king welcome Veronique.

L'abeille qui gîte

Accueil chaleureux agrémenté des guirlandes lumineuses de Noël. Rien, absolument rien ne manque dans cette maison. Nous louons souvent mais jamais nous n'avons trouvé autant de vaisselle, de produits, etc ... Les lits sont hyper confortables et le calme règne dans le quartier, en tout cas en ce début de janvier. A recommander vivement.

Magnifique séjour

Maison très chaleureuse, conviviale, l’équipement est plus que parfait, tout a été pensé, nous étions 4 adultes et un bb même pour le petit tout est là, le petit jardin est vraiment un plus. De toutes les locations où j'ai séjourné, c'est la toute première fois que je me trouve dans un logis aussi bien équipé. Tout est fait pour nous apporter un maximum de confort. Des vélos aux chaussons rien ne manquait. Bravo 👏👏

Ein sehr komfortables, gemütliches Ferienhaus! Sehr gut und liebevoll ausgestattet. Es ist nicht weit zur Stadt mit einem tollen Markt und es ist nahe zu einem traumhaften Strand . Fussläufig kann man wunderbar bei Chez Fernand essen. Wir hatten eine schöne Woche und können das Haus sehr weiter empfehlen. Volker, Liane und Kathrin aus Potsdam und Doberlug - Kirchhain

Charmante maison de vacances que l'on adopte tout de suite et qui devient la maison de famille sur le littoral. Les prestations sont de grande qualité. A titre d'exemple et ce qui est rare dans locations, les serviettes de toilette, le linge, les draps sont estampillés de la marque Linvosges ! Quel confort ! L'équipement très complet de la maison est du même acabit. Vous cherchez un ustensile, il y est. Génial ! De ce fait nous avons passé un très bon séjour, profité de la terrasse confortable et du terrain. Sans oublier l'utilisation des vélos mis à disposition.
