Sealoch Cottage is a traditional crofters cottage converted to a luxury holiday home for two people. It is totally private and located on its own terrace overlooking the magnificent Loch Odhairn. From the cottage you can see the length of the loch to the open sea and mainland beyond. Porpoise, otters, golden eagles and sea eagles are among the regular visitors. The cottage is located in the beautiful and wild Lochs district of south west Lewis, not far from border with Harris , and just short drive from the beaches on the west of the islands, which regularly score in the top ten of the worlds best beaches! The village of Gravir (Gaelic: Grabhair)is about 25 miles from Stornoway, and is a traditional old fishing community straddling the sea loch. The terrain around the cottage is wild and majestic, ideal for hill walking, bird watching, fishing, or just chilling. You might simply prefer to relax on the terrace, watch the boats go past, or unwind in the sauna. Sealoch cottage was completely restructed and refurbished in 2011, and in 2016 was fitted with a new kitchen. There is free wifi.

The cottage has the most amazing view over the loch and the sun room at the front is a great way to make the most of it. Even on cold, wet and windy days this room is really cosy. It’s definitely in a quiet location.
The rest of the cottage is well set out and comfy
Comfortable, loved the interior colours. Would suggest some of the kitchen china/cooking dishes added to and/or replaced as it seems a bit tired and minimal for use with a dishwasher. Still enjoyed ourselves, sorry weather not brilliant but that conservatory is SO lovely!
Stayed for 11 nights for mainly nature exploration..ideal base to explore both Lewis and Harris. The cottage is in a very very quiet location..there is a little shop 15 minutes away..the cottage ie equipped with just about everything yiu need..maybe bring large saucepan and frying pan..the bed is super comfy and large but watch your head...the highlight of the place is the sunroom and terrace with stunning views, we practically luved there..seen lots of wildlife from sunroom ..white tailed eagle twice..otter..deer..lots of sea bids....Internet iwas very hit and miss
9.8/10...just a few little jobs needed doing that wont effect yiur stay

So pleased you saw so much wildlife from the sun room!
It looked unloved, garden not useable, weeds on patio, dead plants in pots.Kitchen not well equipped, no saucepan lids, no wine glasses, just small flutes. No drying facilities for such a wet climate. No sat TV as advertised. No wardrobe just a two draw unit with a small very short hanging space. No information on how to operate sauna, heating, kitchen appliances. As requested in the past by many other guests PLEASE put a blind on the large bedroom window due to long daylight hours. Not full internet (films and download not allowed).
Fabulous cottage in a perfect location for exploring both Lewis and Harris. Amazing wildlife outside your own window - we were really lucky with great weather except for one day and saw sea eagles (daily) golden eagles, kestrels and buzzards to name a few from the sun lounge. Nice to come back to some home comforts - including a sauna, after a day exploring the islands. Despite restrictions due to covid there is so much to see and do and we will without doubt be back! Loved every minute of it!
This is a lovely simple property made special by its location. Even on midgy evenings we could sit and enjoy the view because of the perfectly positioned conservatory. The changing light on the loch was always beautiful whatever the weather. Tbh we never used the sitting room at all. The sauna after a day's hiking was perfect and the bed was super-comfortable!
