This rental had it all: cleanliness, location and value. We walked to town, the thermal pools and a small grocery store is just down the street. The outdoor areas were an added bonus. We would not hesitate to rent there again. Laurel

Interesting, comfortable, clean.. parking can be an issue with tight narrow streets. House is difficult to find initially.

Excellent location for enjoying the hot pools of Furnas!

The property was spacious and had everything we needed to make our holiday comfortable. Lots of little extras. We particularly liked the outdoor area with a covered barbecue area and two gardens as well as a little roof terrace for those who don't mind the heat! Fransisco's son, Pedro checked us in but Fransisco rang us during our stay to check that everything was ok which was a nice touch. The property is practically opposite the Poca Da Dona Beija thermal pools which were very relaxing and also within walking distance of Terra Nostra thermal pool and gardens.

Schönes Objekt

Wir trafen den Vermieter Francisco bei der Anreise schon am Flughafen. Er war sehr nett und gab uns viele Ausflugstipps. Im Haus erwartete uns ein Korb mit Wein und Keksen als Willkommensgeschenk. Die Wohnung ist hübsch eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Nach einer Woche wurde sogar noch einmal gereinigt, und wir erhielten neue Handtücher. Im Haus findet man alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. In Furnas gibt es mehrere (kleine) Supermärkte, Parks, Thermalbäder, Bars und Restaurants - alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Mit dem Auto ist man auch in wenigen Minuten am Strand (z.B. Ribeira Quente).

Dejlig egen bolig i Furnas

Vi havde Furnas som base i 4 dage for at opleve både Furnas og andre dele af det østlige Sao Miguel. Detvar et dejligt udgangspunkt. Hus og have er helt privat og den overdækket terrasse var god at spise måltider på når det regnede.

Beautiful Traditional House near Thermal Baths

My family of three spent four nights at this charming house in November. The owner met us at the airport to give us the keys and maps of the area. He very kindly allowed us to check in first-thing in the morning after our overnight flight, which gave us the chance to take a nap and recover. Our first two days in Furnas were a bit cool and rainy (as we expected), so we did use the space heaters and did not use the lovely backyard much -- but cool and rainy days are perfect times to visit the thermal baths just down the street! We ate lunch at the large table outside the next two days, which I can tell would be a very pleasant spot for lounging in the warmer season. I helped myself to quite a few delicious fruits growing on the trees. The house was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. I appreciated the thoughtful touch of a power converter and plug adapter, which is something more rentals should think to include! It really felt like our little home for our stay. The kitchen was very functional and well supplied; I could have used a pair of kitchen shears, but otherwise found everything I needed. We would happily return; my son is already requesting another visit.

Putziges kleines Häuschen am Ortsrand von Furnas

Nettes kleines sauberes Haus im Azorenstil in der Nähe des Thermalbades, zur Ortsmitte ist es etwas weiter. Gefallen haben uns die gut ausgestattete Küche und die komfortablen Betten. Wäschwechsel inkl. Reinigung gab es schon nach 3 Tagen (uns war es peinlich, dass die Putzfrau sogar unser schmutziges Geschirr gespült hat). Den Punktabzug vergeben wir wegen des fehlenden Parkplatzes lt. Beschreibung (es findet sich auch nicht immer ein Parkplatz in der Nähe auf der Straße) und weil es doch recht laut ist (die Schlafzimmer gehen zur Straße). Waschmaschine ist gut gemeint, allerdings sollte man berücksichtigen, dass man zu dieser Jahreszeit kaum etwas auf der Leine trocken bekommt (aber wenigstens gut zum Schleudern der Badesachen).

Loved this Home

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. It has everything you need to be comfortable- like a home away from home. The location was excellent, we enjoyed being so close to the baths and Terra Nostra. My favourite part was the private enclosed garden. We would love to go back!

Das Ferienhaus entsprach voll unseren Erwartungen. Wir trafen das an,was in der Beschreibung versprochen wurde.Es war sauber und gepflegt.Der Vermieter begrüßte uns am Flughafen,wo die Restformalien erledigten. Das Besondere in 200 m Reichweite von der Ferienwohung ist ein Naturthermalbad .

Das war Spitze!

Vielen Dank für die freundlichen Vermieter, die uns für 4 Tage ihr Haus in Furnas zu Verfügung gestellt haben. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage des Hauses ist hervorragend, man kann alles zu Fuss sehr schnell erreichen. Das Haus ist liebevoll ausgestattet und verfügt über all den Komfort, den man zu Hause auch nicht missen mag. Alles blitzt vor Sauberkeit, trotz häufigen Regens ein sehr angenehmes Raumklima! Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland Familie Baumbach

Schönes traditionelles Haus

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Es ist sehr nett eingerichtet (mit einer alten Feuerstelle im Wohn/Esszimmer), in der Küche findet man alles, was man braucht. Es gibt einen großen Grill , eine große Sitzecke und Liegen auf der der Terrasse. Das Haus ist zentral gelegen, so dass man abends zu den Restaurants laufen kann, auch ein kleiner Supermarkt ist zu Fuß erreichbar und die beiden großen und bekannten Thermalbäder sind nur 2 bzw. 10 Fußminuten entfernt. Wanderer können direkt am Haus starten. Furnas mit seinen heißen Quellen ist ein interessanter und gut gelegener Ausgangspunkt , um den Ostteil von Sao Miguel zu erkunden. Da wir es "gemütlich" mögen, waren wir in der zweiten Woche in Capelas und so der Hauptstadt und dem Westen näher. Sao Miguel ist eine wunderschöne Insel, einen Urlaub dort können wir jedem empfehlen. Die Kontaktaufnahme und der mailverkehr mit dem Vermieter waren sehr gut. Wir wurden am Flughafen in Empfang genommen, bekamen die Hausschlüssel und einen Plan, wie wir das Haus finden.

A really good base in Furnas

Excellently appointed house (exceptionally clean) with loads of character in a fantastic position for exploring Furnas and the waymarked trails around the area. Having two gardens to enjoy and a small rooftop terrace was an unexpected bonus - shame the weather wasn't good enough to make full use of them! The owner could not have been more helpful and caring.

The owner was helpful and met us at the airport to give us the keys to the home. The home was very comfortable, well appointed, and was in an excellent location in Furnas for our sight-seeing. We enjoyed being able to use the fireplace also. Thanks again!

In the mistycal Furnas

This was one of the best places we visited in the wonderful Azores. The Furnas valley is a mystical town with lot of secrets to reveal. We were lucky to stay at the Casa da Àgua Quente, because its a very warm and cozy house, well equipped with lots of personal objects that make you feel like staying at a relative`s house. It is also very well situated at a 3m walk to the unforgetable hotsprings "Dona Beija", and it is part of the route on the main trail in case you want to hike to the Furnas lagoon. Mr Francisco was very kind and helpful all the time and we definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend a grat time here.
