Casa de la Abuela (grandma's house) has been completely restored keeping the essence of a traditional Madeiran house.
It is located in Canhas (Ponta do Sol) and has a magnificent view of the sea and high areas of Ponta do Sol. It is great for families to relax as it is located in a quiet area with easy access. The house has a family atmosphere and very cozy. It has private parking. In a space of 2 minutes walk there is a pharmacy, health clinic, supermarket and restaurant / pizzeria.

Delicious home and perferct stay!

It is a property with ample space, in the central zone of the island, near the sea and the mountain. Carefully decorated space, which provides a perfect stay. It has ample surroundings, where children can play in safety and where they can be in contact with nature. The reception was cared for in detail, timely and extremely friendly. We love the island, the house and the place so we plan to return very soon.

Eine große Enttäuschung!

Nicht im attraktiven Ortsteil direkt am Meer, sondern relativ weit oben am Berg gelegen - das sollte man wissen. An zahlreichen Stellen Ungeziefer im Haus (es gibt zahlreiche Beweisbilder meinerseits dazu, zudem Zeugen), eine Haupthaus ohne richtiges Wohnzimmer, eine Küche ohne Fenster, eines der Schlafzimmer ohne Fenster, ständig Lärm von der Ortsdurchgangsstrasse, ein ungepfleger Garten, ein durch einen 2 Meter hohen Maschendrahtzaun verschandelter Meerblick von der Hauptterrasse, weiter ein öffentlicher Weg entlang dieses Maschendrahtzaunes, welchen regelmäßig irgendwelche Leute nutzen und einem dann auf die Terrasse zuschauen zu können. Ein nur sehr zweckmäßiges Mobiliar, ein Nachbargebüde mit einer extrem ungepflegten Fassade, welche man den ganzen Tag von den Terrassen aus betrachten darf und noch so einige, unschöne Dinge mehr, die dazu geführt haben, dass ich ein für ca. 3 Monate bezahltes Objekt nicht länger als einen Monat nutzen wollte (und das auch nur als Paketannahmestelle). Ich persönlich bin sofort alternativ in ein Hotel gezogen bin, somit hatte ich so einige Tausend Euro uneingeplante Extrakosten, um meinen Aufenthalt noch irgendwie zu retten. Obwohl ich das Objekt nach einem Monat wieder zur Vermietung an andere freigegeben wollte (nach ca. einem Monat habe ich das Haus mit Ankündigung und Schlüsselübergabe geräumt), gab es bisweilen keine anteilige Rückerstattung für die restliche, bereits bezahlte Mietzeit. Ich bin maßlos enttäuscht, nie wieder.

Boa mas o preço exagerado, uma vez que consideraram 5 adumtos mais extra. No entant alerte que reamos apenas 3 adumtos e 2 crianças. Pena que nao havia maquina de café e encontramos barratas e formigas.
