Casa de Lamelas, one of the most beautiful views of the Douro
Quinta de Lamelas is located at the top of the hill, among vineyards, olive groves and almond trees. The house has one of the most spectacular views over the Douro Valley and is in a remote and quiet location. The house, dating from the seventeenth century has been restored to the highest level in 1992, retaining many of the original features.
The house consists of two double bedrooms and two twin, all with private bathroom, double living room with carved and hand painted ceilings, fully equipped kitchen and swimming pool (4m x 12m) with a breathtaking view of the valley. The garden of the house has an outdoor dining area with barbecue and a fountain made from an old oil press.
The property is a 20-minute drive from the main facilities of Quinta de La Rosa. Being accessible only by the village of Gouvães.

Anwesen für anspruchsvolle Gäste, die das Außergewöhnliche zu schätzen wissen
Über raue Pfade führt der längere Anfahrtsweg zu dem in den Weinbergen gelegenen Domizil. Der Blick in die Weinberge und auf den Douro sucht seinesgleichen. Sehr behaglich ist das große Haus eingerichtet. Zu jedem – individuell eingerichteten - Schlafzimmer gehört ein Duschbad. Die Küche ist riesengroß und bietet mit einer modernen Kochinsel eine gelungene Kombination aus altem Terrakotta-Boden und poliertem Granit. Selbstverpflegung ist empfohlen wegen der langen Anfahrtswege. Eine kleine weinbelaubte Terrasse mit Douro-Blick ist´ebenso reizvoll wie der Pool, der mit 15 m Länge ausgiebiges Schwimmen ermöglicht. Liegen und Gartenstühle, Handtücher für Haus und Pool sind ausreichend vorhanden.
Im Weinberg steht die Arbeit nicht still - je nach landwirtschaftlichem Bedarf waren mitunter Baggerarbeiten zur Terrassierung der Weinberge zu hören und zu sehen.
Ansonsten herrscht eine einprägsame Stille dort oben.
