We had an all-around wonderful stay with Brian and Pat McCarthy! The holiday apartment is beautifully furnished and leaves nothing to be desired. We will definitely book again.
Lovely property with gorgeous views of the harbour. Also nice sea view. Very clean, spacious kitchen and bedrooms and lovely cosy sitting room. Hosts were very hospitable and friendly. Excellent location for visiting other parts of Cornwall. Would definitely stay there again.
Our stay at Pen Y Bryn was fantastic. Perfect location with a short walk to Looe town with all the pubs, shops and beach. We hope to stay again one day.
The apartment was nicely furnished, with well-equipped kitchen/diner, two comfortable bedrooms and a good sized living room. Good views over Looe and to the sea beyond. The owner was friendly and very accommodating.
Thank you Brian and Pat for being such great hosts, we have loved staying in your cosy, home from home, apartment. Fab views too, we’ve had a wonderful time here in Looe. X
Brian and Pat were the perfect hosts. House was really warm and very clean. Enjoyed visiting Looe but as the description states it is a very steep walk back from town.
We had an amazing time, couldn't fault a thing, the views were beautiful, the accommodation first class ,and the hosts Pat& Brian were lovely nothing was a problem.,would certainly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful location looking over Looe, the rivers and the island. Very clean and comfortable and a balcony in the sun. Easy to get to the coastal path for walks and visited three houses within easy reach; Cotehele, Mt Edgecombe and Antony House. Looe has a fine beach and plenty of places to eat and see. Hosts very welcoming and friendly - a great place to stay
Pat and Brian made us feel right at home from the moment we booked to the moment we checked out. Without being overly fussy, they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The location was perfect on the East side of Looe (with all the shops and cafes). Thank you guys very much!
The property we stayed in was a home from home. Everything my daughter and i couldve wanted, was there.
Brian and Pat were so lovely and helpful.
I will be going back when I am able.
Just wonderful
What can I say? This was the perfect apartment for us as nuclear family (2 parents + 2 teenagers. Lots of space with everything that is needed for shorter or longer stay and extremely hospitable and helpful hosts who made us feel at home (thanks Pat and Brian). Recommended!
Beautiful clean spacious apartment with absolutely everything provided. The views from every window worth the short hike up the very steep hill. Super hosts. Already thinking about returning next year!
We had a wonderful stay. The property itself is absolutely immaculate and Brian and Pat are very friendly and on hand to help, if necessary. Absolutely stunning views from the property which is situated at the top of a very steep hill and it is an easy walk to Looe (shops and beach). However, it is a steep walk back up the hill, which wasn't a problem for us, but something to bear in mind if you have mobility issues.
Overall a fabulous property, in a great location and the owners are really friendly people. Definitely recommend.
We had fantastic stay at the wonderful Pen-y-Bryn.
Our lovely hosts Brian and Pat were so welcoming and helpful.
The property is so spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed and more.
The binoculars were a great addition to make the most of those amazing views and the houseplants and lovely soft furnishings made it a real home from home.
Looe is a great place to explore and we mostly enjoyed our trip to Looe Island. Well worth a visit.
Thank you for our memorable stay Brian and Pat. We hope to return one day.
All the other reviews with regard to location/cleanliness/comfort - home from home are absolutely true. A delightful stay with a few niggles! Stayed in mid September and we were a little chilly first thing in the morning. The property relies on the owners controlling the heating. Portable heaters would be beneficial to guests who like it cosy. Make sure you take the provided map with you and turn LEFT at the spa shop! The directions provided (which are taken from an on line route planner) are very misleading for the very last part of the journey and sadly the owner lacked a little patience when we had to phone him several times to guide us to the property, but don't let this put you off staying!
