-2 Bedroom Lakeside cottage. 3/4 bath.
-4 Season Lakefront home
-Year round home on Bauneg Beg Lake with beautiful sunsets.
(Old dock pictures are only to show the sunsets!)
-Pet Friendly
-No smoking.

-Two Bedrooms with Queen Size beds, and a Queen Trundle bed on the porch. (Great place to sleep!)
-Equipped with full size stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, Kuerig machine, Wi-Fi, SmartTV (No cable, but you can watch hundreds of TV shows and movies free through Crackle and free apps over WiFi). Access to Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video.
-Place is super clean with hardwood floors.
-Totally enclosed fenced in property on 3/4 acre.
-Sunsets on the Patio with outdoor fireplace/chimnea. Listen to the crickets and the loons.
-Also 6 ft fire-pit in the back.
-Gas grill.
-Dock for your boat. Easy access.
Sit on the dock and watch the sunsets, take a swim, or cast a line. (Dock is seasonal - mid May through mid October). Old dock pictures are only to show the sunsets!
-Water is 30 ft away. Small sandy beach. Life jackets, floats, and 2 person Kayak on site, paddleboat, canoe.
-Quiet location off dirt road.
-ATV trails nearby, Hiking trails nearby.
-Super Walmart, Shaws, Laundry mat, Cinema, Restaurants, bowling, mini-golf and Golf Course all within 5 minutes away.
-20 minutes from Ogunquit, Wells, Kennebunk. Beaches, Antiques and art stores, Outlets.
-40 minutes to Portland, Portsmouth.

We had a wonderful vacation here! They have everything you could need with beautiful views of the clean lake. Nice and relaxing for us and the dogs. TV is not great however, this is a magical place that was nice to unplug. We are going back next year and this will be our third time. Love this little cottage! :-)

Beautiful lakefront property

Our family of 5 and two dogs had a great long weekend! The property being completely fenced in was amazing. Everyone was able to explore and enjoy the water. The kids loved fishing and exploring in the kayak.

Second stay even better than the first!

We love this place. Our little haven of relaxation and quiet. Many upgrades to the outside of the property since our visit in 2021 adding to both the beauty and functionality. Hope to return again soon.

Great stay!

Great place to celebrate a birthday with a beautiful view of the lake! Loved the porch! Definitely clean and comfortable. No cable TV and that worked out fine - maybe not for a longer stay. We were very happy with this adorable lake house with a nice dock.

Hidden gem in southern Maine

So often when looking for rentals the perfect rental, the one in a great location with a view and all the amenities you want, is always booked on the dates you want. But this time we lucked out and were able to stay here for 3 days. Great location. The house is cozy and clean. The beds are comfortable. I could have stayed out on the dock the entire time. Would gladly consider staying here again in the future.

Perfect location for perfect vacation

This destination has become one of our favorites! The location couldn’t be more perfect. Wake up by the lake, have coffee with the loons, enjoy fishing, swimming, and kayaking. You can take day trips to multiple ocean beaches, Portland, and many other places in between. Plenty to do, or just enjoy the beautiful lake and relax. Meets all of our wishes and needs. Late October getaway

Everything was as promised. The lakeside, the cabin and all the amenities. The extra instructions before check-in were crucial to wrapping up our long drive. Especially the "Google Maps error". We got to visit with dear friends in perfect surroundings. Even Clyde the dog felt "at home".

Nice week on Bauneg Beg

We had a nice stay at this camp. Accommodations were fine and this rental was a good value. We’ll stocked kitchen and BBQ; plenty of water toys; comfortable LR and bedrooms; air conditioning. We had our grandchildren for a few days and they caught lots of fish off the dock. They also spent countless hours swimming. Our only complaint, outside of the control of the owners, is that the water quality is far from clear (perhaps rich in iron?) making it quite brown.

Great spot!

We couldn’t have asked for a better get away spot. The cottage was perfect, cozy and very clean with a well equipped kitchen. Outside there are lots of sitting areas to enjoy the beautiful lake. Our dogs had a blast playing in the huge fenced in yard. It was a plus to discover Qgunquit to be a pet friendly town. Our dogs were warmly welcomed in stores and restaurants. Where to start…

We’re from Indiana, this was our first, and possibly only trip to Maine. When we planned this trip it was all about hiking, exploring the seaside towns and eating fresh lobster! But the cottage on Bauneg Beg lake was so comfortable and the lake so peaceful it became much more than a place to sleep. It became one of the highlights of the trip. Just ask Marty the Mutt – he was living his best life! We would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful respite off the beaten path yet close to all kinds of cool stuff – especially if your family includes a pooch who loves the outdoors. Thank you for Hosting!! P.S. We heard and saw Loons!!

Perfect getaway!

We had the best of both worlds- the ocean for my 11 year old and the lake for my husband! Cabin is a little on the small side but worked perfectly well for our family of four as we loved spending time on the patio looking out at the Lake. On rainy days, the front porch area became our game and puzzle room from those stocked in the cabin. The cabin was well stocked with anything that we might need and the beds were super duper comfy!! The daybed on the porch lulled you into a nap, even if you didn't think you wanted one! ;) The sandy beach out front was a great area of the kids to play in and the dock was deep enough that they could jump and canonball directly into the lake. At nightime there were plenty of ambient lights to light the way, but still star gaze! It really was the perfect getaway!

Idyllic

This property is in a small cove on Beuneg Beg Lake. It was so quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed taking a chair, though there is a bench, out on the dock and just sitting there. The camp was immaculate. The furniture was so comfortable. We had everything we needed right there. We didn't have to buy anything but food. Waking up every morning to the lake was such a treat. We were close to all the places we usually go to in Wells and Ogunquit. Traveled up to Freeport and and Kennebunk. Our dogs loved it. I had fun collecting acorns and pinecones that had dropped from the trees. This property was exactly as pictured and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. I would not hesitate to stay there again. It was away from the traffic and noise on Route 1. One word would describe this property. Idyllic. Thank you Marcel and John for sharing your getaway with us.

Lakeside weekend getaway

This property suited us very well. Mother, adult son and 4 yr old cockapoo. We brought our own canoe with electric motor so didn't use their boats. We beached the canoe and didn't use the somewhat rickety dock. The weather turned chilly and the house heated up well. The kitchen appliances were very good, and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and supplies. We always bring our own knives. Outdoor grill worked well.. Many extra and thoughtful items were provided for guests and their pets. House was spotless and located right on the lake with porch with excellent views. The yard was expansive and completely fenced in. Much appreciated and enjoyed by people and dog. Bedrooms small with comfortable beds. Great hot water in shower. The surrounding area offered very good hiking and and the lake did have some large mouth bass and pickerel. We took advantage of those and short road trips to the coast.

Every year for my husband's birthday, we spend a long weekend celebrating in Maine....just us and our 2 dogs. This peaceful lake cottage was exactly what we needed this year to enjoy a weekend of sleeping in, cooking in a well stocked kitchen, dining with a lakeview, reading books in a chair by the water, hanging out with our dogs in a big fenced in yard, all against an overall cozy calm backdrop with a nightly sunset. Our dogs were at ease and we took them for morning hikes at local parks in Sanford and Kennbunk. This property was exactly what we were looking for.Our hosts thought of everything! From flashlights by the door to plastic wrap in the kitchen to nightlights to fluffy blankets to dog treats. We felt so welcomed, the cottage was so inviting. Marcel and John checked in with us to provide details to make our stay easy and comfortable. I almost want to keep it a secret. We hope to return to experience this tranquil property again. Thank you, we truly appreciated your hospitality.
