Cozy lakefront cottage with easy access to beaches (York and Kennebunk) and salt ponds (Biddeford) as well as shopping outlets (Kittery and Freeport) and quaint Maine towns (Ogunquit, Orchard Beach). “Rustic” three-bedroom cottage with modern kitchen and bath. Great deck with panoramic view of the lake. Cathedral ceilings, air conditioning units in each room. Fishing, swimming, campfire, relaxing!

I am a California transplant with New England in my soul. The cottage has been a wonderful place for respite and family fun, especially when my kids were younger. I am fortunate to have many Maine friends, including a couple who has stayed at the cottage for over ten years!
Why they chose this property
After vacationing for 4-5 years on Lake Estes, I snapped up this cottage when it became available. It’s been such a fun retreat for my family and friends, and I love sharing it with others when I can’t be there.
What makes this property unique
Our go-to activities: swimming; exploring the islands (a 200 ft swim from the dock); biking to Kennebunk/Kennebunkport; fishing from the rowboat (my son’s first fish is mounted in the cottage!); brunch in Portland; playgrounds in Kennebunkport; York beach with the penny arcade and salt water taffy; lobster boats and artsy shops & theatre in Ogunquit; movies at the Portland Art Museum. And of course, Shane’s of Maine ice cream!
