About this property

Looking for a cozy getaway? This country property is perfect!

The Eagles Nest is located on 40 acres in the heart of Southern Iowa. The cabin has 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms; 2 with Queen sized beds and 1 w/ a full size bed and bunk beds. The Eagles Nest has a fully stocked kitchen with an island and kitchen table; seating for 8. The living room has a large screen TV/Dish Network and high speed wireless internet. The main bedroom has a 40” tv with Netflix. Just outside the door is a large deck with a gas BBQ grill, table and chairs for dining. Beyond the patio is a large fully stocked pond for fishing or just enjoying a relaxing ride in the kayak. On the grounds are corn/bean fields and wooded areas. This property is perfect for family/friend gatherings, hunting parties or just a simple get-a-way.

Relaxing getaway

We stayed here for a long weekend. It was very quiet and peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, having a bonfire and just relaxing and drinking coffee on the deck. The house had everything we needed and the host was quick to respond to questions.

Country Style

The property was very clean and well kept. If you want a little country style living this is the place to go. Nice pond for fishing and kayaking and very quiet and relaxing.

We had an awesome time during our stay. The ponds are great for fishing and kayaks. Our daughters had so much fun exploring the property and fires waterside each night! It was the 1st time fishing for both kids and many fish caught, so much fun.

Peace and quiet

Just what we were looking for...peace and quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed. Spent the days on the back deck overlooking the pond and watched the family of geese and listened to nature. Perfect!

Country Stay at its best

We rented both houses for our group who was in the area for a wedding. It worked out great for us and we have no major complaints. We loved the space and would have loved even more time at the property. It was also hot and muggy so it was much more appealing to stay inside in the air conditioning. The owner was VERY accommodating and helpful!

Beautiful property

The property was beautiful and well maintained. We loved fishing and kayaking on the pond. Osceola is about 20 min away and we did a shopping adventure and out to eat at the Iron Horse. Stores and food wonderful. The only thing that we didn't like was that neither door locked, didn't even need the code to get in the front door and the back door lock didn't twist at all. I would definately consider coming back if that got fixed!! 🙂
