A lovely single storey cottage for two with a kingsize bed (room for a travel cot), ample storage and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over. It has a high vaulted beamed ceiling in the living area with french windows opening out to a private peaceful south facing patio. It has comfortable reclining leather chairs to relax in. The country kitchen area is fully equipped and has a dining area.Berehayes has 8 holiday cottages set around an enclosed courtyard in a tranquil rural village just 2 miles from the beaches of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast in West Dorset near Lyme Regis and is 4 star rated. Guests have shared access to the Berehayes Spa which includes a heated indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, but you can have it all to yourselves with FREE private 1-2 hour sessions included each day (bookable on arrival). The good , the bad and the ugly

Lovely quiet location, use of the pool was good. Check in very easy and efficient. The whole place is looking a bit tired and in need of a little love. Mould on bedroom ceiling which I had to clean off. Lots of cobwebs and spiders on ceiling and around the log burner ( could easily have been cleaned with a hoover) . The mass of cobwebs and dust behind the headboard was gross , made us feel very uneasy going to sleep! Lots of lovely plant pots around the site but all over grown with weeds. Just a bit of time and attention needed really all over.

Deep in the Dorset countryside

The cottages are well equipped with everything for your stay, and private pool access system is simple to work. The site is hidden away in a tiny village within easy reach of Lyme regis. There is a pub 10 minutes walk away, however it is not really possible to walk anywhere else as the village is accessed only by very narrow lanes with tall hedgerows (typical Dorset landscape). Really lovely place, car 100% essential!
