Truly tuscan villa with pool, ideal for groups, 6Km to San Gimignano

Everything at Villa La Francigena has been designed to tap into the tranquility of Tuscan living. The villa can hosts families or groups up to 10 people, a typical stone-built barn nestled in the peaceful countryside just a few minutes driving from two famous medieval villages: San Gimignano and Certaldo. If you are looking for a cozy retreat with a big pool, where you can enjoy a relaxing stay while remaining close to all services, you're in the right place. Siena & Florence are 1h away by car.
The space
Villa La Francigena is located halfway between Florence and Siena, in the countryside just outside San Gimignano. Having a car is therefore necessary to move around the area, however, if your idea is to stay only for a few days (and you don't have a car), you can still organize your travel by contacting the local taxis, which we can provide the number.

In the immediate surroundings you will find:
- 500 mt away, a wine tasting point
- 1 km away, two small restaurants and a cafè

The villa has been renovated in perfect Tuscan style, with large and bright rooms and terracotta floors. It lies on the ground floor and it consists of:

- 4 bedrooms (3 doubles and 1 twin with two single beds). All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets at the windows
- 3 bathrooms (two with shower and one with tub/shower)
- Large living room with leather sofas, a new Satellite TV (you can also connect with your Amazon Prime and Netflix account), Bluetooth Speaker and Hi-Fi system stereo
- Mezzanine/reading-room with double sofabed (160x190cm)
- Well stocked eat-in kitchen/dining room equipped with a six burners hob, dishwasher (detergent supplied), espresso, american and capsule coffee machine (Nescafè Dolce Gusto), mixer, toaster, electric kettle, oven, microwave, two refrigerators with freezer
- Wood-fired oven (wood supplied)

A spiral staircase leads to the basement, where you will find a washing machine (detergent supplied), a dryer, an iron and ironing board.

The outdoor spaces are always well kept and equipped with a typical outdoor veranda from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Tuscan countryside. A large table and chairs make this area a convivial place for coming together, especially during summer evenings.

Then, the big garden embraces the accommodation on all sides and it hosts several fruit trees and aromatic plants, such as sage, rosemary and mint. Both the garden and the swimming pool (7x14 mt, depth 1.20 - 2.40 mt, open from 27/04 to 28/09/24) are fenced and for your exclusive use only. There are also two brick-built bbqs, a ping pong table and a private parking space.

In addition, our guests can enjoy a brand new poolside gazebo and a stunning panoramic stilt house, perfect to relax by reading a book or enjoying an aperitivo at sunset time.

Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms only (each room has its own remote control), however once it is turned on, all other spaces cool down rather quickly. In summer we also provide a few fans. Instead, heating is centralized (GPL).

The price includes: a welcome basket, spices for cooking, costs of water-electricity-gas-air conditioning-heating, speed free Wi-Fi (60 mega), linen-towels-pool towels with weekly change (further linen changes or housekeeping service are available on request, with extra charge). Baby equipment such as cot (max 2), high chair (max 2) and changing mat (1), are free and we can provide them to you if booked in advance
