About this property

Mountainview Boathouse Apartment.

LOCATION: 4 miles from Delta Junction city center.

This apartment is attached to a boathouse with a partial view of the Alaska Range on a wooded lot. It is situated on the lot next to where the owners reside. The apartment has one bedroom with a queen sized bed and one bathroom. The unit has a fully stocked kitchen with stove, microwave and a full sized refrigerator. A futon in the living area converts to a double bed if needed. The apartment has a small fully enclosed covered porch for bug free enjoyment. In the summer, two provided cots can be placed in this covered porch if needed. A flat screen TV with DVD library is available for entertainment. There is no cable or internet available, but free internet is available at the local library. The apartment is equipped with a small capacity washer/dryer unit.

The apartment fits 4 comfortably, however because we do have the two cots available to sleep in the covered porch in the summer, travelers of 6 are welcome to stay if they are comfortable with "cot sleeping". There is no extra cost for the additional two people.

Wonderful stay!

We loved this sweet little boat house apartment. It had all the comforts of home. Barbara made sure that we had all of the contact information in place, check in was a breeze. Directions were easy and all in all our stay was very pleasant. The apartment was super comfortable and sweetly decorated. We loved our stay!

Perfect getaway

We really enjoyed our stay, the setting is very peaceful. The unit was perfect for my family with 2 young children. The kitchen is well stocked and the extra cot came in handy. Can't beat the location, minutes from town. We hope to be back.

Great property, nice hosts

Overall, the place was perfect for the 2 of us. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The apartment was more than comfortable. The only issue was that the bed was small so one of us used the futon - also very comfortable. Stayed 2 nights but wish we would have stayed another.

Incredible views

I was here for work. The cabin has incredible views and my cell reception was fair. Not good enough to use for my laptop though. The no wifi is the only downside. Though I can't imagine many people coming to the area for work.It is a cozy cabin with everything you need. The hosts are incredibly responsive and helpful. The views when everything is snow covered are incredible.

Cozy Gem

Place was everything we expected. We got into area later than expected so didnt get to really explore much that was offered at this property but alot of thought went into it. My only recommendation would be putting in a sill plate for bottom of the porch screen door. Currently the mosquitoes are able to come in from under door so enjoying porch wasnt possible. This Place still deserves the top rating. Would highly recommend and if in area again would stay again. Thanks for your hospitality.

Seclusion and privacy, quiet

Great value; we came to escape Texas heat and it worked! Hiking trails on the property are very peaceful. My T-mobile hotspot worked great to connect laptop to the Net. Host was right on it when power went out temporarily. Big Delta brewery is the place for lunch or just relax with a craft beer.

Cozy and clean winter getaway

This place was the perfect winter home away from home! The cabin was clean, warm and quiet. The kitchen was well-stocked with a variety of cookingware, which was excellent for us to prepare home-cooked meals. We appreciated having the washer and dryer as well. Barbara and her husband were so welcoming and easy to communicate with before and during our stay. Thank you so much for hosting us! I look forward to visiting again soon.

Excellent Property

The property was great. It was very clean and and well thought out. The only thing I found it did not have was a small fry pan to scramble my eggs in the morning, only an extra large family size. I am short and had a hard time climbing into the very comfortable but tall bed. We had a very nice stay.

Best ever

We were visiting friends outside the small town iof Delta Junction so this location was idea. I wish we could have enjoyed it longer. We were so busy we missed out on just taking a vacation at the home. One could explore the trails and beautiful grounds, use the amazingly stocked kitchen, watch on of the library of videos and read Barb’s children’s book then sleep on the covered porch. Or use the comfy bed and futon for a great sleep.

What a Pleasant Surprise

The location was ideal for it was only about 3 miles from the Deltana Fair. We loved the seclusion and quiet surroundings. Our only disappointment was the full-size bed. It sagged too much . . . but the owner improved the comfort by adding 3 extra (wide) slat boards, and stated replacing the bed is on their improvement list.

A great property and a great hostess. Close to Mt McKinley (Denali) National Park and its associated retail tourist strip center; and the Totem Inn restaurant in Healy is a relatively inexpensive sandwich, pasta, and pizza spot. We highly recommend this property.
