We (4 adults) had a lovely stay, the property is well kitted and in a nice remote area, very dog friendly and a good base for Harrogate, Ripon, Fountains Abbey etc.
Very comfortable accommodation, very private, warm & cosy house set in countryside.

Great property with everything you need for a break away from home. In an idealic location with plenty of great eateries around the area. Great base for Harrogate, York, Ripon and many more. Ideal for a family or two couples and doggy friendly even had some doggie treats when we arrived.
We loved our stay at Dockenbush Cottage. It was located on a rural property making for a peaceful, relaxing stay. It was comfortably furnished and well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Graham also included a welcome pack which was much appreciated. Highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay not too far from major towns and villages.
Superb place, Graham is a welcoming host and nothing was too much trouble. It’s immaculate with great attention to detail. Welcome basket and doggie treats a lovely touch.Great walks and pubs nearby. We will be back
The property was warm and spacious. The bed was comfortable and there are 2 nice bathrooms. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. We would happily return. There is plenty to do locally. We particularly enjoyed the gardens at RHS Harlow Carr, the Jorvik Viking Centre, Fountains Abbey and a walk along Wharfedale to Bolton Abbey. For history buffs a guided walk of the battlefield at Towton was fascinating.
Property was in the most tranquil position, so peaceful and convenient form visiting different areas. Property was well equipped with everything you need. Will go again.

Wonderful
This is a cosy, comfotable, rustic cottage in a beautiful setting but not luxury.
Could have been cleaner & garden was sadly overgrown but nothing major. The location & setting are perfect.
This lovely cottage in Harrogate was perfect for two couples spending a week exploring the Dales and the Moors. Wonderful neighbors, including three visiting Labs, in a country setting. Peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable.
A beautiful cottage, well presented and everything you need for your stay. A lovely welcome pack too which is a really nice touch.
Off the beaten track but for our relaxing weekend that is exactly what we needed but yet still close enough to Knaresborough and Harrogate. Would highly recommend.
The Yorkshire countryside offers beauty and history around every corner, so staying in the midst of it all was top of my list for a recent stay. This lovely converted barn didn’t disappoint. The setting on a gorgeous estate, was a dream to wake up to, complete with the two labs Murphy and Callie visiting for treats. So much to see in such short distances from our base made the vacation one to remember. I’ll definitely be back
We can't say enough about our stay at this absolutely charming cottage near Brearton. We were so pleased by the generous welcome package and even more so by the great instuction book of things to see and do - including a spectacular cross-country hike to the fabulous local pub (highly recommended for Sunday Roast!). A simply picture perfect stay- we will be back next time we are overseas.

The cottage has been furnished to a very high standard making for a very comfortable stay, even when it rained. All that you needed was available in the cottage. Easy access to all the local sights and towns. Janet and Mark sent prompt replies to all communication and the directions were also received promptly.

Likewise for very precise emails as to arrival and departure which are much appreciated and cottage left in immaculate condition - thank you.
Great accomodation. A converted barn which had a very homely feeling. Well equipped kitchen. Welcome hamper which was lovely. A south facing enclosed garden to sit in the afternoon sun. Short drive to Harrogate and knaresbourgh. Pately bridge only 12 miles away and into the dales. Would highly recommend this place if looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay
We had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape to North Yorkshire. The host kindly left us a welcome hamper with some Easter treats for us hooomans and the doggos which were very much appreciated. The cottage itself is nice and modern with lots of homely touches and has everything you need (and more). We really appreciated getting to use the paddock where we could let the dogs play freely. There are a couple of lovely restaurants / bars within walking distance.
Rented this lovely cottage for my mothers birthday, wanted a quiet place in the country close to Harrogate.
Graham the owner was brilliant, I asked if he could do a couple of things for me to make the place a little more special for my mother - he very kindly put a “happy birthday” banner up, left a little gift, and even his daughter baked a delicious cake!
The cottage is centrally located between several places of interest so a great base for all tastes.
Will be back!
