No frills with the bare necessities but it was perfect for us. It did get a little hot with only a windown AC but the box fans helped. The tall weeds (see listing photo) and algae did deter us from swimming. The kayaks out to the open water would have been nice but we ran out of time. I would stay here again, thanks Chad!

Relaxing!!

We had a great time staying here. We have been coming to the area for over a decade and this was one of my favorite places! We were able to bring the whole family even the fur babies!

Short Holiday Getaway

Brightwood Getway was very quiet and relaxing. We had a lot of fun using the kayaks on the lake and spending time outdoors. It would be even better if wifi were available. It is a great stay for the price...we would definitely book again!

Brightwood

Quiet and secluded feeling, even with neighbors close by. Shaded with lots of trees. Clean with plenty of pots, pans, and utensils in the kitchen, comfortable beds.

Beautiful, quiet lake front

My husband and I enjoyed the lake front setting and fishing on the lake. Our host was there for any needs. We trailered our boat to the boat launch just a couple miles away. We enjoyed the 2 kayaks provided and fishing boat also.

Perfect Getaway!

This is the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun getaway. The property is beautiful and spacious with plenty of shade trees. The kayaks and paddle boat provide hours of fun. Sit by the campfire and listen to the loon calls as the sun goes down. The mobile home is clean and has everything you need on hand. I would gladly stay here again!

The property was fun and provided great opportunities. Unfortunately my son ended up in the hospital needing surgery so we did not get a real chance to enjoy it. Chad was great and easy to work with.

Great family vacation spot

This was exactly what we were looking for with our family vacation. The direct lake access was perfect. We did a lot of swimming and although we didn’t need them the kayaks and paddle boat were very nice to have. We stayed for 5 days and fished every one of them! We caught lots of fish! It was very quiet and private. We also enjoyed the fire pit and were able to have a couple nightly fires. Could see us coming back in the future!

Great fishing vacation spot!

We had a great time at Brightwood Getaway! We had everything we needed and access to a fishing boat was so convenient! The inside of the trailer was clean and the beds were comfortable. The outside furniture and deck needed a lot of cleaning but the property was beautiful. Be aware that the location is pretty remote so if you're looking for a place that's close to stores or restaurants this may not be for you. Most places are about 25-30 mins away. We picked it for the peace and quiet so it was perfect for our family. Overall, a really great stay!

Nice place to stay to get away

Great, cozy mobile home on the lake. Quiet area off of any main road. Far enough away from town to be peaceful but close enough if you need something. Home was clean, beds were comfy and view was awesome. We had probably the best fishing and perfect weather than I have had a quite sometime. My grandparents used to live in the area not too far away in Maine, so I have been coming to this area since I was a young boy. I love this area of this great state. Ill be looking for this place again in the future.

Comfortable trailer on a great lake

We came mainly for fishing since the weather in May is much to cold to play in the water. It turned out being colder and windier than normal but we still caught fish each day. The trailer was warm and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. We met Bill when checking in and later met Chad. Both were very friendly and were ready to help if we needed anything. Our stay went quite smoothly and we will certainly consider staying again.

Cute mobile home on the lake.

Nicely supplied mobile home. Had most all kitchen supplies, bedding and a nice washer and dryer. Storage in 1 closet was not too good because there was a mattress in it and there was not a dresser or chest for storing clothes in the 1 bedroom. Disappointed that we had to spend a couple of hours cleaning the boat and kayaks for our use. Trolling motor was nice. Door knob on the deck side was quite hard to unlock and I think for safety purposes the bathtub could use some type of non skid surface placed in the bottom of it. Lake was wonderful and the views were great. We enjoyed the deck and liked the firepit area even though we didn't have time to use it. Chad was great if we had any questions, and was quick to respond.

Good basic mobile home cabin on a very shallow lake front with a sandy bottom. A boat lift at the dock’s end allowed us to use our boat and secure it. Great for swimming, wading and dog play. Basic amenities in the trailer but it was clean and everything worked. Wifi had two bars on t-mobile. A couple antenna air TV channels. Pretty private setting with nearby cabins mostly empty for most of our stay. Paddle boat and kayaks are there for use. We caught some fish and it was a fun time. Our dogs loved it too! Thanks Chad!

After staying at several area resorts for decades, happened tti find this property. It was a big upgrade from all the resorts in terms of spaciousness, amenities, and privacy. Just what we needed. The owner was friendly, attentive, and helpful.
