Casa Lucia is a light, airy apartment with wonderful panoramic sea views and private south facing terrace along with covered BBQ terrace. Come and enjoy a glass of wine whilst relaxing on the sunny terrace, or cooking that juicy steak on the BBQ. With air conditioning for the hot summer nights and a wood burner for the cooler winter months you'll be comfortable. A high speed fibre optic broadband connection ensures you can stay in touch or "work from home”.
Casa Lucia is well equipped with electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster, electric juicer and sufficient crockery, cutlery and utensils and a teapot. Internet radio, information folder, maps and selection of paperback books are provided and we are on hand for any help or advice.

Casa Lucia is set in an ideal location for the peace and quiet of Spanish country life and the village is only a short walk away. The nearest supermarket at the bottom of the road. Enjoy fresh bread for breakfast, and walk to the nearby restaurants in the evening to sample traditional Canarian cooking and excellent local wines. The apartment does adjoin our own house and whilst respecting your privacy, we are on hand discreetly in the background, we will not disturb you.

At Casa Lucia we spent a great time!

We enjoyed two weeks at Casa Lucia. It has a phantastic view and a wonderful garden, it is a lovely and quiet place with great hosts Hazel and Rob. You can either relax on the beautiful terrace or have the choice of a variety of walks nearby or after a short drive. We were happy about the wood burning stove as weather was chilly during the second week. There are several restaurants in walking distance, but we also did the cooking at home or used the BBQ. All in all we loved the atmosphere and would like to come back!!

We had the most relaxing week in this beautiful little house.Whilst attached to the main house, it is totally private but the owners are available if you need anything.They were really friendly and offered fruit from their lovely garden.It was perfect to totally chill in the quiet surroundings, with gorgeous views. Island is extremely hilly, but great for hiking.The village is well equipped with a couple of shops, restaurants and bars.We would not hesitate to go back.Highly recommended

Perfect La Palma holiday

A lovely apartment with a fantastic view of the sea and village of Puntagorda. Hazel and Rob were great hosts and this is a fabulous place to stay if you enjoy walking and nature. The terrace is perfect for enjoying the clear starry skies. The local buses are regular and reliable, and there are supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. We had a fantastic holiday here and plan to return.

Vakantiehuis als thuis

Een prima vakantiewoning met alles erop en eraan en, net zo belangrijk op La Palma, goede buitenvoorzieningen. Op een eiland als La Palma leef je vooral buiten en dan is het handig als er mogelijkheden zijn om in de zon en in de schaduw te zitten, en die zijn er bij Casa Lucia. Zorg voor goede kuiten, want even lopend naar de supermarkt houdt wel in dat je weer vierhonderd meter omhoog moet lopen! Wees ook voorbereid dat je in een woonomgeving woont met alle geluiden van een woonomgeving, wie voor absolute rust gaat moet een paar honderd meter lager of hoger zijn. De verhuurders wonen direct achter je en ja je ziet Rob als hij op z'n land aan het werk is en hij ziet jou maar nooit zal je Hazel of Rob op jouw terras zien als ze daarvoor niet eerst toestemming hebben gevraagd. Lieve mensen, een goed verzorgd huis op een prachtige plek!

Ferien abseits des Tourismus

Das Haus von Hazel und Rob Gardner hat eine super Lage. Sonnenuntergänge lassen sich herrlich in der eigens dafür vorgesehenen Laube geniessen. Wichtig - der Wohnteil, der ins Haus integriert ist, ist wirklich sehr klein. Er bietet alles notwendige und bei schönem Wetter hat es draussen genügend Platz. Wir hatten das Glück, dass wir - mit einer Ausnahme - immer draussen frühstücken konnten. Nicht vergessen - das Haus ist auf einer Höhe von knapp 800 Metern und da kann es im Winter nachts schon mal empfindlich kühl werden (10 Grad). Der Wohnraum wird mit einem Holzofen geheizt - war wunderbar. Die Gardner's sind sehr angenehme Gastgeber.

- sehr nette Vermieter, zu jeder Zeit hilfsbereit - die Terrasse ist super, zum Frühstück (bei Sonne) und besonders für den Sonnenuntergang - Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, Selbstverpflegung ist daher kein Problem - Ausstattung (v.a. Küche) sehr gut, wie im Inserat beschrieben - wir waren Ende Dezember dort, da wird es abends natürlich schon mal frisch, dafür gibt es einen Ofen, der gemütliche Wärme bringt

Compleet huis voor 2 personen, met terras en fantastisch uitzicht. Goede uitvaksbasis

Casa Lucia ligt een kleine 1,5 uur rijden vanaf het vliegveld, Het is een woning voor 2 personen waarin alles aanwezig is voor een heerlijke vakantie. Een keuken met alles wat je nodig hebt, prima bedden, badkamer, informatie, spelletjes en goede stoelen. Aansluitend aan het huis is een terras met goede stoelen en ligstoelen. Vanaf het terras heb je een fantastisch uitzicht op de oceaan (niet op loopafstand). Een paar meter verder is nog een 2e terras met bbq. Er zijn een aantal restaurantjes in de omgeving, maar wij hebben bijna elke avond gebruik gemaakt van de bbq en de heerlijke plek om te genieten, In de omgeving zijn diverse wandelroutes, maar je hebt eigenlijk wel een huurauto nodig om de mooi plekken van La Palma te bezoeken. Ook de (Spar)supermarkt loop je, vanwege de steile helling, niet even naar toe. De zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer Rob (Hazel was gedurende de week niet aanwezig) woont er naast, maar die is alleen op de achtergrond aanwezig als je hem nodig hebt. Tip; bestel brood bij hem en je hebt de volgende morgen heerlijk vers gebakken brood. Kortom wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad met alleen maar positieve ervaringen!

Casa Lucia hat eine tolle Lage im ruhigen Puntagarda.Es hat eine sehr schöne Terasse und einen sehr bunten Garten ringsherum. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und gut gepflegt. Der Kamin lässt es auch im Winter ausreichend warm werden. Das Beste sind aber die tollen Vermieter Hazel und Rob, die uns schon mit einer Flasche Sekt empfangen haben und dann stets mit frischem Obst und Gemüse aus dem Garten verwöhnt haben.... Casa Lucia was simply a delightful place to stay. Rob and Hazel were wonderful hosts, providing a warm welcome and expert local knowledge. We felt extremely well cared for. Thé apartment has a beautiful location with stunning views. It was extremely comfortable and suited us really well. It is simply furnished to an excellent standard. The little wood burner provided real warmth and coziness when needed. The village, with all the shops and restaurants one could need, was only a short walk away. It is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Puntagorda provides a perfect base from which to explore this beautiful island.

We always planned to live in a warmer climate one day, somewhere not too far away from the UK. La Palma in the Canary Islands really appealed. The palmeros are warm and friendly and the pace of life suits us very well. We have lived here for 16 years and since renting our apartment have met lots of interesting people and made many friends along the way.

Why they chose this property

After house hunting around the Canary Islands, La Palma was our favourite island by far. We were drawn towards Puntagorda in the north west and fell in love with our house on the first visit. Luckily it was for sale and the rest is history!

What makes this property unique

The wonderful view from the terrace!
Stepping out onto the terrace on our first visit, our eyes followed the skyline right from the pine hills above to the Atlantic ocean below. Sat on the terrace in the evening under the starlit sky and Milky Way you can see the lights of the village twinkling.
