About this property
A wooden house in the meadow in the heart of Haute Provence
The house is a recent construction with a wooden frame. I wanted it to be ecological, comfortable, and functional. It is located in a natural meadow, surrounded by wild moorlands, grasslands, thyme and lavender fields, and forests with oak trees and pines. It offers absolute calmness. From 600 m of altitude, it dominates the village of Noyers as well as the Jabron River, a torrential river where it is nice to go refreshing in summer. Here, the sun is our loyal friends and it reminds us that we are in Haute Provence, where there are still olive trees and fig trees. The house, which is completely independent, has a total surface of 52 m² and is ideal for 2 people. (It is possible to host a couple with a baby or a young child). There is a big living room with fitted kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and an independent toilet. With its impeccable comfort, you will have all the facilities you desire: modern and functional household appliances, television, Wi-Fi access, a living room where you can relax, a workspace and a library to read and relax. Entirely on the ground floor, two big picture windows give you access to a wooden terrace with a pergola where you can have your meals in front of the landscape and rest on deckchairs; unless you prefer the lawn terrace. The meadow that surrounds you as well as the hedgerow of centenary trees will engage you in moments of relaxation or meditation in a hammock or a deckchair. Jabron Valley, originally a land of tradition and culture, will surprise you with its wild and imposing landscapes. You can get to know it in several ways: on foot, by horse, by bicycle. There are many hiking trails and you can take one directly from the house. The region is full of tourist attractions and famous sites. Sisteron of course and its citadel but also Manosque, Forcalquier , the Province of Giono, Gap and Serres Ponçon lake, Sainte Croix lake and the gorges of Verdon, inland of Dignes-les-Bains.

About the host
Hosted by Françoise Riffet

I settled some years ago in this peaceful and natural place, away from the summer hustle and bustle of tourist zones but at the same time in an ideally central location to discover Haute Provence. I like living a simple and authentic life here.
Why they chose this property
This house was constructed next to my main residence. I wanted to share this pleasure of being here and help other people discover a secret part of Haute Provence. This enables me at the same time to self-finance it.
What makes this property unique
I don’t just hand the keys to my tenants. I like helping them to take advantage of their stay with my knowledge about the region and all its resources.
