Minalt is a very good base for exploring the Lleyn Peninsula.

Minalt is a very good base for exploring the Lleyn Peninsula. It's near to the coastal path, Bardsey Island, Portmeirion, Caernarvon etc. The house is in a quiet location so it's a very restful place to stay.

Nice cottage and lovely and clean when we first arrived.

Nice cottage and lovely and clean when we first arrived. Took my mum who struggled up the road to the cottage because it's so steep but if you're relatively young it should not be an issue. There a couple on convenience stores close by which I thought were a bit pricey. The nearest pub is at the back of The Halhoran hotel but it looks like a later addition to the hotel and is not what you would call a traditional Welsh pub. Beach was within walking and lovely. Local towns we visited - Abersoch (lovely), Pwhelli (?)
