The house has a sunny "breakfast" room and kitchen overlooking the south facing garden. there is plenty of space in the large dining area and sitting room. The 3 bedrooms upstairs could do with a chest of drawers in each and the bathroom is functional. Local amenities are 3 pubs within 150 yards, a convenience store and a Post Office within 100 yards. We took 2 dogs so great from that angle - there are plenty of walks reached very easy and quickly from the front door. Would we book again - yes! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This is a great cottage for exploring the Hartland peninsula.
This is a great cottage for exploring the Hartland peninsula. Quite spacious. The garden is pretty, very sloping, would be great for dogs to run around in. House equipment in general pretty good but slightly on the minimal side. The bathroom was basic but fine. The electric shower worked well, the Wi-Fi also worked well for us and didn’t crash whilst we were there. The public parking initially had concerned me but we always managed to find a space even when the car park was quite full. The village has some great facilities for such a small village: a well-stocked local shop, a fish and chips shop two doors down and a fair few great pubs with lovely beer gardens. If I were to suggest improvements, I think that the oven could have done with a better clean before arrival as food fragments from previous people still there. Towels could be bigger - and I’m not a very big person! The entire handle on the toilet door is missing and could do with replacing. More toilet rolls should be provided, as well as Kitchen towel. Also there is a fourth bedroom which is locked and reserved for the owners, which I didn’t know in advance. It didn’t particularly bother me but it may bother some people. It did initially bother my son but he got over it. My children were also slightly disturbed at night by the sound of the passing traffic as the house is directly on the ‘main’ road as such but as before, they got used to it. Also some history of the cottage would have been interesting for us to read. All in all, a very pleasant holiday had by all. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage is very conveniently placed, with a fish and chip shop almost next door, a general store only a few doors further down, a lovely café immediately opposite, a GP's surgery next door and a friendly pub/restaurant serving good food just across the square. There are two other pubs, (one of which also serves food but which we didn't try) also only a minute or so away. The cottage itself is very comfortable and well equipped (only lacking a radio and a blender), and there is a wonderfully effective wood burning stove which really adds to the ambience. The top part of the pretty very long garden is completely enclosed and would keep most dogs safe, although our long legged lurcher managed to jump down into the lower garden on one occasion, (but it would take a very determined dog to escape from that part of the garden anyway). There is a lovely view from the back windows.
