The market town of Grantham, 10 miles, offers museums, NT houses and gardens to visit, and Lincoln is only 15 miles, both with castles, antique centres and many restaurants. The holiday cottage also provides a central base for exploring Lincolnshire which has something for everyone, from canoeing and theme parks to exploring the wolds and the history of the area, admiring architecture from the 17th century, and nature reserves. Within an easy drive are Belvoir Castle with its breathtaking views, RAF Cranwell, Belton House and not forgetting Lincoln Cathedral, one of the finest Gothic buildings in Europe, which was used for filming the ‘Da Vinci Code’.
