It is surrounded by its own enclosed, part cultivated and part wild garden and offers private, off-road parking for three vehicles. The bungalow offers ample quantities of everything you need: an endless supply of hot water, an effective central heating system, a large kitchen with extensive work surfaces, a spacious dining room, comfortably sleeps five people and a wood burner with unlimited supply of logs (free of charge), all in a peaceful and tranquil location. The rear of the property has panoramic views over the Welsh hills and Hergest Ridge. There are numerous footpaths near the property giving you the chance to put on your walking boots and explore the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. You can literally walk from the garden over sheep pastures and wild moorlands to reach Hergest Ridge, which is part of the Offa’s Dyke Trail. On top of the ridge is an old Victorian racetrack and wild ponies graze freely. Here you can look over towards the Black Mountains of Wales and the Malvern Hills of Worcestershire, with uninterrupted English and Welsh countryside landscapes all around. Visit Weobley where the heart-wrenching film of Hamnet was filmed, it picked up the best drama award at the Golden Globes, and is now tipped to walk away with an Oscar later on this year, this idyllic village has appeared in several publications, even before it opened in the UK cinemas, and is a must visit destination. Steepholm is close to the market town of Kington (also walkable across open fields) where you’ll find shops, supermarkets, and places to eat out. Within a 30-mile radius of the accommodation lies the Historic city of Hereford, with its beautiful cathedral and Mappa Mundi, and the towns of Leominster, Ludlow, and Hay-on-Wye. Locally, the Black and White housing trail, Hergest croft gardens, and the Small Breeds and Owl farm park, are all well worth a visit. If you enjoy walking, cycling or just exploring the locality and want to come home to a warm, comfortable, and peaceful base each evening then Steepholm is the place for you. Nearby locations and attractions include Kingswood with the Small Breeds Farm Park Owl Centre, a short walk/drive from Steepholm, well worth a visit. Kington, a historic market town in North Herefordshire, very close to the border of Wales. The town is surrounded by fabulous countryside just waiting to be explored and is a well known centre for walking. It even has its own ’Walking Festival’. Kington also boasts the highest 18 hole golf course in England. Weobley, a quaint village with a Hollywood link where the heart-wrenching film Hamnet was filmed and is a must visit destination. Hay-On-Wyw is widely known as the "Town of books" and has one of the worlds biggest and best literary festivals, featuring some of the worlds greatest writers, thinkers and performers. Leominster - The Black And White Village Trail is a 40 mile trail that starts (and ends) in Leominster and passes by buildings going back to the Domesday book. Hereford is famous for the Mappa Mundi, one of the world’s most significant medieval maps, which is on display inside the Cathedral. The Cathedral is arguably the most splendid and intriguing building in the city. Take the scenic route along winding country roads through the Welsh mountains to Borth, with its sandy beach, the longest in Ceredigion. or to Aberstywyth, a seaside town with a famous University.
