All on the ground floor, this detached barn type conversion offers cosy accommodation for couples and lies central to many popular seaside villages.. All on the Ground Floor:

Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Ceramic Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine
Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Freeview TV, DVD Player
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.. Lawned garden with patio and garden furniture to side. Large garden with patio to the front. Private parking for 3-4 cars. No smoking or e-cigarettes. Please note: There are ten steps with handrail to the lawned garden at the side of the property.. Set in the small, picturesque village of Rock, The Old Workshop has been fully converted to create a single-storey holiday cottage. Built in 1856, this property comprises a spacious open-plan living area with large French windows leading onto the patio, linked to the stylish dining kitchen. Guests are welcome to use the culinary herbs at the front of the cottage for cooking during their stay. There is solid oak flooring throughout the property. The small entrance hall links to the spacious bedroom with large built-in wardrobes.
The Old Workshop forms part of the Rock village estate and is well placed for easy visits to the stunning Northumbrian coastline and fabulous local countryside walks. The village has a well-marked trail past the ancient church. Alnwick has most major supermarkets and services. There are several pubs, petrol station and post office in Embleton, 3 miles away. One mile away, Rennington has a pub within walking distance. The golden beaches of Newton-by-the-Sea and Embleton are less than 5 miles away.Combine a fabulous coastal walk to Dunstanburgh Castle and back with lunch overlooking the sea in the quaint fishing village of Craster, world famous for its smoked kippers and salmon. Golfers are spoilt for choice being within easy reach of many first-class coastal courses. Inland, the Northumberland National Park is a stunning area of natural beauty, a magnet for cyclists, bird watchers and anglers. The market town of Alnwick, five miles away, is famous for its castle, featured in Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey, and the splendid gardens with the renowned treehouse restaurant. To the north lies the busy town of Seahouses and the Farne Islands.
