We were a family group of six but our children dipped in and out over a weeks stay. We all loved the cottage and hope to return soon. It is ideally located for Harlech, Barmouth and Llyn peninsula. It’s beauty is in its rural location surrounded by Eye catching scenery and Some lovely Circular walks from the front door on footpaths and tracks. The cottage is set in beautiful gardens that have many different areas to explore. Outside the cottage is a large Wooden picnic table that gets the evening sun. Behind the cottage a short walk up a hill is rewarded by views of Snowdonia and the sea and you can even see Harlech Castle. In the village of Penrhyndeudreath which is 10 min drive away is a lovely little Vegan cafe wIth delicious cakes. In the same village there is an Indian and Chinese take away both of a high standard and there is also Fish and chip shop here. There is a pub within walking distance but had COVID restrictions so only visited once but really didn’t need to go out when everything was so lovely at the cottage. Good WiFi and kitchen very well stocked and kitchen and bathroom modern and everywhere spotlessly clean. Beds comfy and sofas too and was log burner too. Owners were very welcoming and knowledgeable and we were greeted with lovely homemade Welsh cakes which was a lovely touch and milk in the fridge. They had even provided details of local walks. We are definitely planning to go again as so close to such lovely places and such a pretty location. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The location of the cottage was fantastic.
The location of the cottage was fantastic. Very peaceful, along a narrow windy path nestled amongst trees and gardens. Great walks around the cottage and just a short drive from everything. Hosts were very friendly and attentive. The cottage itself was perfect for our needs but had not been lived in for several months due to lockdown so smelt damp and musty initially but was very clean. Small and cosy, it was a perfect base for a much needed week away exploring the beautiful surroundings. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Gorgeous location, behind a rocky coastal ridge, so it's quite quiet from the main road traffic noise and its on the edge of a beatiful calm wooded valley. Great for walks, cycling, and just relaxing. Nearest village shop and chippy is at Penrhynn, restaurants at Harlech and Maentwrog. Single track road up from Talsarnau up to Soar, not for the faint-hearted.

We had a wonderful week staying here.
We had a wonderful week staying here. The gardens are simply stunning and it was wonderful having access to such a beautiful walk up the hill through the back of the garden. The owners are very friendly and helpful and my boys are already asking when they can go back again!
