Nicely appointed property with good kitchen, lounge and conservatory. Lovely bathroom on ground floor. Bedrooms on the small side but very comfortable. Quality furnishings. Stairs on the steep side, could be issue for someone with mobility issues. Plenty of parking and good size garden. Excellent communication from owner. Slightly off the beaten track but we knew that at time of booking.

We have recently returned from our long-awaited weekend return to May Cottage after having spent a delightful week there in the early summer and a promise to ourselves that we would return later in the year.We were welcomed by Peter, the owner, with a friendly text and a supply of tea, coffee, orange juice etc and Peter’s ‘signature’ chocolate cake which went down a treat after our journey up to Norfolk. The cottage was beautifully prepared, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we would need for a comfortable stay - even a towel for Milo our eight month old Cockapoo.May Cottage is a delightful place to stay and real pleasure to spend some restful days there whatever the weather, or, for the more adventurous, to explore the beautiful county of Norfolk.

May Cottage is a lovely place to stay with close proximity to coastline, beaches, broads and exploring North Norfolk. Cottage is well equipped, clean and peaceful with a homely feel. The owner was very helpful and although we didn't need to call on any issues he was very approachable and gave us some local history. We would recommend this cottage as a place to stay and had no complaints and we very comfortable and relaxed during our weeks holiday.

Lovely, comfortable and well equipped cottage in a great location for both walking and cycling down quiet lanes to the beach. The garden, patio and conservatory are all great spaces for enjoying the sun during the day. We really enjoyed our stay at May Cottage, and in this lovely area of Norfolk.

Beautiful cottage, very clean and all mod cons, on a main road but it’s not a bother as quietens down in the evening. Most local shops and pubs are a drive away but roads are good. Owner was very helpful and friendly.

We spent a lovely 2 weeks at this spacious cottage. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of equipment. The rest of the house is spacious and comfortable with a large garden. The bathroom is downstairs but that really is not a problem and the bath is lovely and deep! The cottage is on a main road but after about 10pm you barely hear any noise. Perfect location for visiting the local beaches and other areas of beauty.

My children and I had a fantastic and much needed holiday.
My children and I had a fantastic and much needed holiday. Such a beautiful cottage. The host was an absolute delight to speak with and provided the children with some board games when the weather was a little poor. The cottage was very clean and kitted out with everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable, the best nights' sleep in a long time. We would definitely stay at May Cottage again.

We had a great stay at May cottage.
We had a great stay at May cottage. The cottage is spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and in the conservatory, which also makes a lovely additional dining area. Bedrooms had good storage and the two smaller single rooms were more spacious than we had expected. The cottage is a short drive from the beaches at Bracton and Mundesley.

Beautiful cottages in a peaceful location.
Beautiful cottages in a peaceful location. Had a wonderful comfortable stay at the cottage, plenty of space and well equipped.
Advertised as having a pub a mile away but it’s shut down. Thick cobwebs on ceilings and between furniture, however, this didn’t impact the brilliant stay at the cottage.

Lovely cottage could not fault it in any way, very clean
excellent interior bedding and facilities top marks
The only downside was the very noisy busy road, and with the building going on next door, that we weren't told about until we arrived, and being disturbed very early in the morning

We very much enjoyed our stay at May Cottage, the views across the fields were stunning. We loved the conservatory and were surprised by how much extra warmth seemed to emanate from this source. The cottage was very well equipped with outside eating areas and the choice of two reception areas where we could enjoy our meals. Loved the slightly overgrown garden and couldn't resist helping ourselves to the apples on the trees on the drive, well, they were falling with the wind anyway, scrumptious! Only one complaint, we could have done with some more towels, I know the fear is that guests will take them home, however one bath towel each was a bit mean. We found the heating easy to operate and we were nice and toasty although we didn't spend many days indoors. Lots of space to park on the drive. Think washing line would be a welcome addition as you do have a washing machine.

Cottage was lovely.
Cottage was lovely. High quality furnishing, comfy beds and very well equipped. Garden was also lovely. Owner as also very helpful with lots of tips of places to visit. Have never been to Norfolk before so this gave me a great base to explore this part. I would say that the further North you go the beaches improve

Our second visit to this cottage which is perfectly placed for exploring the coast and the gardens at East Rushton, Hoveton, Mannington and Blickling. May Cottage is beautiful, one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.
May Cottage is beautiful, one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. It is clean, very well equipped and set in delightful gardens. The owner/caretaker had left milk, fruit juice and a cake to welcome us, which we much appreciated. There were plenty of leaflets detailing places to visit/things to do in the surrounding area. We were lucky enough to have lovely weather for our week's stay which made things even better. Altogether, we cannot speak too highly of May Cottage and strongly recommend it.
