The most popular way of exploring this stunning area, which teems with wildlife, is by boat, but there are also many cycle pathways to explore, including the Weaver’s Way. This covers a stretch of some 56 miles, winding its way through the Broads to Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cottage is located in the pretty village of Coltishall with riverside pubs and shops. Wroxham, known as the Capital of the Broads, is just 3 miles away with waterside cafes, restaurants, shops, railway station and other amenities. Visitors of all ages will also enjoy a visit to Wroxham Barns, where giftware, country foods, a rose and plant centre, junior farm and funfair as well as craft studios and restaurant combine in one location. Children will also enjoy BeWILDerwood Adventure Park with its treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and boat trips, which all combined makes a great day out. The seaside resorts of Great Yarmouth and Sheringham offer sandy beaches as well as markets and family entertainment; there is also over 700 acres of National Trust parkland to be found at Sheringham. Alternatively, spend a day in the fine city of Norwich, 8 miles, with its Norman cathedral, castle, museums, theatres, twisting narrow streets and ancient churches. Norwich offers a vast array of cafes and shops, and it boasts an open air markets with brightly coloured stalls. National Trust properties well worth visiting are Felbrigg Hall and Blicking Hall. Golf can be found at Sprowston Hall. Shop ¾ mile, pub 5 minutes’ walk.

Absolutely Lovely

We came from Canada to visit our elderly Auntie who lives in Hellesdon. It was a perfect location and perfect cottage. Description and pictures are true and accurate. We enjoyed the Rising Sun Restaurant as well. Food and staff were excellent. Sara was an excellent hostess as well. Thank you England for a wonderful vacation.

We had a family break with family for my parents 80th birthdays.

We had a family break with family for my parents 80th birthdays. The cottage is lovely a little dated in places but lovely. Location was just perfect, right on the banks of the river and in easy walking distance of the local pubs and shops. It was so peaceful with stunning views. The boat was a bonus as we all loved seeing the sights and the wildlife from the boat, we saw heron and kingfishers 殺. We had amazing weather all week which was also a bonus ☀️ Sarah was very friendly and a attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone. We all absolutely loved our holiday here.

We all absolutely loved our holiday here. So peaceful and relaxing being able to sit by the river. We also rented the boat so we hardly used the car, boating to Wroxham to do our shopping instead. The neighbours were lovely and even having three cars we had no problems parking at all. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Wonderful

Beautiful, tranquil stay. Loved sitting at the bottom of the garden in the early morning watching birds and boats. Hubby and kids fished (just a kids cheap fishing line, nothing too serious) and caught a few. The boat though was the icing on the cake! Loved it.

If you like to see seals Horsey is the place to go about 1/2 hour by car then 15 to 20 minutes walk this was in October. Boat trips at Blakeney about 40 minutes away.
