Ticked all the boxes
My wife and I were looking for some where close to Eastbourne so we could complete some work on our own rental property and also see family later in the week. Darwin Cottage ticked all the boxes for our requirements. Tanya welcomed us on arrival, left us a very tasty array of freshly made bread, jams, milk etc and was the perfect host. The cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. All in all, perfect!! Thank you Tanya we will definitely recommend you to anyone in need of somewhere special to stay.

Darwin Cottage is very well situated for exploring many sights along the South Coast.
Darwin Cottage is very well situated for exploring many sights along the South Coast. There are picturesque towns and villages within easy reach and a wonderful pub right next door. My daughter and I recently enjoyed a week in this lovely cottage. It is comfortable and well equipped, and exceptionally clean. The property was much bigger than expected and Jevington is a great base to explore the South Downs. We received a warm welcome from the owners Tanya and Paul together with a welcome pack and freshly baked loaf which was much appreciated. We had such a relaxing week and hope to return in the future. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Darwin Cottage.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Darwin Cottage. It was clean and comfortable, everything worked well. The walk-in shower was particularly appreciated as the weather was very hot. There was a pleasant courtyard to sit in and wonderful walks on the Downs on the doorstep. The birdlife and wild flowers were amazing. We loved the beaches which were very accessible and only a 10 minute drive away. We found it easy to park along the front at Eastbourne and we found small shops and cafes near the big wheel. The beach at Burling Gap was quite crowded but we had a lovely walk along the cliff top towards the Seven Sisters. Because of the Covid restrictions there were not the usual leaflets at the cottage. We thought a few duplicated sheets with information about local shops, walks and amenities would have been helpful, but all in all we had a great holiday and thank you to the owners for making us so welcome.
