As it states in the name, peace is definitely what it is. If you like a rural location with local scenic areas for walking and passing the time, this is the place for you. Loved the local harbour town of Garlieston, did quite a few walks from there, the Harbour Inn is a really friendly pub, food was good, The Hive Cafe is supurb for coffee and scones or cakes and also very friendly. Really recharged our batteries for a week. Thank you.
Excellent property. Interesting being on a farm. Very
peaceful. Farm drive fine but would benefit for a bit smoother surface- but as we are cyclists we would say that! Cheese from owners very good.

Lovely cottage in very peaceful setting.
Lovely cottage in very peaceful setting. Wonderfully comfortable beds, pleasant lounge, good WiFi, spacious, clean, comfortable and homely. Farm road could do with being resurfaced, our only down side.

The cottage is perfect and it is so peaceful and quiet. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas and some lovely beaches and coastline and lovely places to eat out all within a relatively short driving distance.

The cottage lived up to its name, we had lots of peace.
The cottage lived up to its name, we had lots of peace. We thought that we'd be staying on a working farm but we weren't. October, it would seem, is not the time to go south past Newton Stewart because places are closed or close early. The cottage was clean and cozy albeit we seemed to lose the hot water facility two days before we left, but that didn't spoil our holiday. The road to the cottage needs a bit of work done to it, it is a farm track and fine for farm vehicles but not so fine for regular saloon type cars. We saw deer, a Hen Harrier and a hare without travelling too far from the front door.

While Peace itself was very comfortable and well equipped, the length of travel along a track to reach Peace was difficult and dissuaded us on 2 days from venturing forth. Nevertheless we did enjoy our time at Peace and touring Scotland.
