A truly unique property with plenty of living space for five guests, situated in a quiet village close to the bustling seaside resort of Scarborough.. 2 steps to entrance.

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating (Nov-Mar £50 per week, £30 per short break), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack.. Enclosed lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Bike store. Parking in pub car park next door. No smoking.. Vinca Cottage is a wonderful, stone built, semi-detached cottage situated in the quaint village of Burniston. It offers plenty of room to relax having a living/dining room and an additional sitting room. The living/dining room has a beautiful inglenook fireplace, perfect for relaxing in front of after a day at the beach or exploring the local area. There are plenty of original features including beamed ceilings and attractive open stonework. Built in the early 1800s and now transformed into a colourful holiday cottage, there is a pretty enclosed garden at the rear and flower beds to the front.
Although the village of Burniston is small, it has everything you would need for a break away from it all including a well-equipped village shop and two pubs serving home cooked food, and a tearoom/art gallery. There is a local bus which runs down to Scarborough’s popular North and South Bays or into the town centre. The traditional seaside resort of Scarborough is just 4 miles away and offers miles of sandy beaches, fishing and speedboat trips, the Rotunda Museum, Stephen Joseph Theatre and the open air theatre, which is popular with music lovers, artists varying from Britney Spears and Noel Gallagher to Alfie Boe and Little Mix. Peasholm Park is worth a visit and still operates the famous Naval battles on the lake in the summer afternoons.
The local area offers many walking and cycling routes including the Cinder Track to Whitby, the famous Lykewake Walk across the National Park, and The Cleveland Way. Dalby Forest is a cyclist dream and offers routes for beginners up to world class mountain biking routes, you can even hire bikes here. There are plenty of friendly surrounding villages with traditional pubs and tearooms, as well as some wonderful scenery. The Yorkshire Heritage Coast is nearby and is home to many hidden gems such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay and Filey to name a few. The fishing town of Whitby is just 15 miles north with its haunting Abbey and regular events and festivals such as the famous goth weekenders, a regatta and many other year round attractions. The walled city of York is just an hour away and well worth a trip out, or take the steam train into the heart of the North York Moors National Park. Beach 2¾ miles. Shop 150 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
