We found Gullieside cottage to be absolutely ideal for our requirements for a quiet break in a pleasant location. We enjoyed it immensely. Our only slight criticism is regarding local facilities (just far enough away to be difficult, and no pub within walking distance, not that we would wish to patronise one at this time. However, the living room would be rather small for a party of four adults. There is a further difficulty (not really a criticism as it is just inescapable);- Vehicle Access is very restricted. Many modern cars would be too wide to reach the parking area However, we are advised that, if necessary, a vehicle could be parked along the lane only about 50 yards way. We particularly liked the detached quiet aspect with a very pleasant garden and outside seating. The hamlet of Kirkandrews is of great interest, worth a visit in itself, and some very pleasant neighbours. We would most certainly like to visit Gullieside cottage again, but in better times when we can fully experience the many attractions and amenities of the area. Relaxing cosy cottage, away from it all.
Relaxing cosy cottage, away from it all. Hardly saw a sole which was what we'd hoped for in current circumstances! Feel well rested and would definitely return in future. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Spent a very relaxing week in this special cottage, walking, cycling reading and sitting in the beautiful garden. Very close to beach it is located in the attractive hamlet of Kirkandrews. Gullieside has a large garden with views of the countryside and a costal walks. Inside it is warm and comfortable with an open fire. The cottage was spotlessly clean. It is 20 minutes drive from the town of Kirkcudbright where there are a range of good shops and restaurants. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a fabulous holiday.
We had a fabulous holiday. We wanted to be in the middle of nowhere so it’s unfair to ask about amenities. There aren’t any! We didn’t want any! Fabulous garden and wonderful views. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
