Great little cottage for a getaway and fantastic value in times when prices are being inflated.

Great little cottage for a getaway and fantastic value in times when prices are being inflated. Comfortable (but creeky!) bed, although the pillows had seen plumper days. Cottage is fitted out well, if a bit plain, not really any interesting touches which I like to see in cottages. Great size, kitchen had most utensils although we did miss a cheese grater and pizza slicer! The smoke alarm was extremely sensitive, after setting it off twice grilling sausages (which weren't even smokey!) I resorted to oven cooking things slowly to try to avoid setting it off combined with opening all windows and doors (which was successful!) There is no fixed heating in the cottage, there are 2 portable electric heaters which are generally ok, but if you're someone who likes to be toasty all the time, this place is not for you in autumn/winter. We made use of the blanket which was very warm but with the high ceilings getting warmth is difficult. It's difficult to move the heaters after they've been on as they're hot so if you use 2 in the main cottage area then the bedroom will be cold. Heated towel rail in the bathroom is a life saver! Overall we had a great time, it was very peaceful, hot tub was great, ken and Alison are lovely friendly people who made us feel very welcome and made some great suggestions (Kings Head, Tealby had superb food and only a 10min drive away). We tried out the local Chinese which was great, just a shame the local pub is currently closed. Will most definitely consider returning in the future! Lovely restored farm building in a beautiful location.

Lovely restored farm building in a beautiful location. Hosts were very friendly on arrival and since we had no issues never saw them again until we were leaving. A 10 minute walk to Binbrook village with a shop, pub, cafe and chinese take away. Unfortunately while we were there the pub was closed awaiting a new manager. Would definitely recommend this property for a peaceful break. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

I was quite anxious about this break as it was the first time we had been away with our little boy. From the moment we arrived i knew that I needn’t have worried. When we were welcomed by Ken we knew that the holiday was going to be special. Alli and Ken could not have done more. From bringing a fan over for our little boy to posting back a baby grow that we left. The cottage had everything and more than we needed. It really felt like a home from home. The location was a perfect base for us - we really enjoyed walking to the local pub and would definitely recommend the Chinese! A fantastic break made extra special by Alli and Ken. Lovely quiet location, ideal to get away from it all.

Lovely quiet location, ideal to get away from it all. Nice, modern barn, with friendly horses close by. Short walk to the village. Village might be too quiet for some - nearest pub wasn't serving food, but as we visited at the end of lockdown that is understandable. Chinese very good and local shop well-stocked with the basics. Good location for visiting the wolds and the coast. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
