The highly acclaimed ice cream parlour in Amble is approximately 2 miles away. Amble has a thriving, popular Sunday morning market and Amble Harbour Village with fifteen retail pods, both popular with locals and visitors. From the harbour you can take a Puffin Boat trip over to Coquet Island to see the RSPB bird sanctuary. The pretty village of Warkworth is just 3 miles away with its hillside castle, free parking, selection of cafés and pubs, and a couple of small bespoke shops.
A few miles further takes you to Alnwick with the Duke’s castle, featured in Downton Abbey and used as part of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.
