Please note: The owners swimming pool is not for guests’ use. There is a lake and a pond in the grounds.. They are both tastefully furnished with period furniture and make delightful holiday homes in this peaceful part of East Devon, just west of the quaint town of Axminster and on the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within easy driving of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, with its stunning scenery. The popular seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Beer, Seaton and Sidmouth are a must, along with many attractions, such as Pecorama at Beer, the famous Seaton and District Electric Tramway running along the Seaton Marshes with its abundance of birdlife all year round, and the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth. There are many historic houses and gardens to visit, or you can spend a few days enjoying the cathedral city of Exeter with its amazing cathedral, catacombs, shops and restaurants. Enjoy lovely country walks and village pubs in this unspoilt area, and on your return keen gardeners can wander around the 10 acres of gardens, which are open to the public during the summer.
