About this property

Apartment in Ancient Borgo Le Querce

Make your holiday special, an incredible offer for the family, a special welcome.
Welcome to Tuscany, land of culture, art, nature, sea, where the Tuscan countryside as a show ...
In the small characteristic village of Pastina (Santa Luce), in a beautiful hilly position in the center of the typical Tuscan countryside, in a valley formed by classic Tuscan hills, there is a recent construction called Antico Borgo Le Querce.
The charming structure dating back to the early nineteenth century, completely renovated, made up of nice apartments, is suitable for a relaxing holiday with the possibility of numerous excursions, both to the nearby coastal resorts and in the heart of green Tuscany.

The strategic position allows you to easily visit the most famous cities of Tuscany, the splendid seaside resorts awarded with the Blue Flags that characterize the beautiful Etruscan Coast from Castiglioncello to the Gulf of Baratti, the archaeological parks and the medieval villages of Volterra, San Gimignano and Bolgheri.
Nearby, with short routes, you can reach both the characteristic village of Pomaia and Santa Luce, and the nearby beaches of Vada, Castiglioncello, Cecina, Marina di Castagneto Carducci. Proximity to characteristic and ancient Tuscan villages and to the limited distance from well-known seaside resorts that offer a stretch of coast with suggestive beaches.
In the hamlet of Pomaia (which is about 3.5 km away) there is one of the most important Buddhist cultural centers in Europe: the Lama Tzong Khapa institute, founded in 1977

Cycle tourism and photographic tourism: It is a concept of modern and romantic tourism at the same time, it is a new model that could not fail to come from a region that makes tourism an art. Travelers, explorers of the area on the hunt for unique panoramas and particular food and wine experiences and then sitting, in silence, in front of a panorama that seems to have come out of a medieval fresco, enjoying a great Brunello or Chianti and Cinta Senese ham. This is the magical conclusion: Wine and Tours, photography lovers and hunters of new and original flavors who want to experience an adventure outside the box. Naturalistic photography in the magical Tuscan landscape; you can photograph animals, plants, vineyards, flowers, the sea, the rocks, the beaches, the islands, sunrise and sunset.

Large studio apartment on the first floor, consisting of kitchen-living room, small balcony, double sofa bed, washing machine, TV, bathroom, closet, additional cot. For 3 people.

Pool Open from 1st June to 20th September.

We have ideas and proposals for unforgettable holidays, splendid itineraries to follow.

Wine roads and trekking: Village a few km from the airport of Pisa 'G. Galilei 'with possibility of car rental on site.

A few km from our apartment you will find the wine road of the Etruscan Coast (Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Tenuta del Terriccio): the most famous wine producing estates in the world!
You can walk among the vineyards, find out how to think and live in the countryside; the bright colors of the vineyards, which change in the various seasons, will invite you to look for ways and paths that get lost among bunches of grapes and cellars: you will find different rural contexts, stories of landscapes designed by man, the scent and soul of the places that live again in a glass. Viticulture is an expression of incredible harmony between land, climate and people. You can travel the most beautiful roads in the world to travel by bike or on foot. We have detailed maps of routes available, indicating the length and degree of difficulty.

Beautiful and well-preserved medieval buildings, breathtaking views of unspoiled nature, traditional dishes and local wines, if these are some of the things you are looking for when organizing your holiday in Tuscany, you can do much more by visiting Santa Luce. The municipality of Santa Luce in fact has all this and is located only 27 km south-west of Pisa, which means that it can also be safely used as a base for visiting this famous Italian city.

Santa Luce still retains the remains of the medieval fortress. The town maintains the layout of the ancient feudal village intact: the built-up area, which follows the line of fortifications, is rounded in circles around the space from which the castle dominated the valley. Among the most valuable attractions, the Romanesque parish church (in the hamlet of Pieve di Santa Luce), the wildlife oasis of Lake Santa Luce, the alabaster eco-museum (part of a museum network that also involves Volterra and Castellina Marittima) and the uninhabited village of Monteforti, with the remains of the Sanctuary of the Madonna (once the most important in the area).

With its picturesque location on the shore of a protected lake, Santa Luce is certainly one of the most peaceful and relaxing destinations in Tuscany. You won't find crowds of tourists, crowded bars or discos frequented here, but if you are trying to 'get away from it all', you have certainly chosen the right destination.

Eating local food and tasting local drinks is usually what many tourists who go to this region plan to do and a holiday in Santa Luce is indicated because it offers you the ideal opportunity to taste the many delicacies of Tuscan cuisine. Olive oils, jams, wines, citrus fruits, honey and pasta are just a few examples of what can be purchased at farmers' shops or premises and what is usually used in recipes. If you prefer to taste some other delicacies, you can find numerous high quality restaurants around Santa Luce.

A great way to move from Santa Luce, in Tuscany, is to cycle. This means of transport can be hired inside the village, and will allow you to discover many other things about this beautiful region than would happen if you went on foot. If you are planning longer trips, however, the use of a car is a necessity in this rural part of Italy.

The local region is famous for its thermal baths and its spas, and an excellent example of these is the nearby Casciana Terme. Santa Luce is also an ideal destination for golf lovers.

The area around Pisa is chock full of interesting places to visit during your stay in Santa Luce. The village of Chianni, which is 22 km away, is undoubtedly a great choice for a relaxing day trip thanks to its excellent restaurants, traditional activities and unspoiled landscapes. Pisa itself, famous for its majestic leaning tower, can be reached by car in less than 45 minutes.

The best months for a visit to Santa Luce are June, July and August. The average temperature in these months is 27C, although it is possible that it can even reach 30C. From September the rains begin to increase, but the temperatures remain high (October and November are generally the rainiest months of the year).

Galileo Galilei International Airport (PSA) is the main airport when staying in Santa Luce, as it is only 43 kilometers from the destination.

How to reach us by car:

For those arriving from the south: take the SS206 state road towards Pisa. After passing Badie, at the height of an elevated road, turn right near the indication for Pomaia or Knauf. Continue for 7 km towards Pastina

For those arriving from the north: take the SS206 state road towards Cecina-Rome, about 12 km from Cecina, at the height of an elevated road, turn left near the indication for Pomaia or for Knauf. Continue for 7 km towards Pastina.
