Wonderful house on the Loire

This house was even better than the photos.Anne Marie met us and showed us around. The kitchen had everything you needed. It’s a short drive to Chambord, Blois and other charming villages. It’s in a neighborhood and very quiet. Just a few steps away is a fabulous restaurant Le Chanterelle. Make sure you reserve in advance since it’s very popular. A great stay, thank you Anne Marie!

Everything about this home and our host was first class. All the towns and chateaus to visit are close and easy to reach. The home was perfect and our host, AnnaMarie took care of everything and responded to our questions immediately. Perfect host-perfect location-perfect home. Highly recommend. Very Comfortable with a Lovely View

We loved the view of the Loire and spent a many happy hours sitting by the window. The sunsets were spectacular. We enjoyed our rides up and down the river on both sides on the good cycle paths. The property was just as described, warm for our early spring visit, very comfortable and easy to live in. The wifi worked perfectly all the time. Anne Marie was kind and considerate. Overall a super property and one to which we would like to return.

A wonderful stay

Anne-Marie greeted us on arrival giving helpful information on the house and the area. The house was well equipped, very clean and comfortable, set in a large garden with a terrace overlooking the Loire, perfect for drinks after our days cycling. The parking and secure garage for storing our bikes was very welcome. The house is close to the Loire a Velo cycle routes, we had a wonderful week discovering peaceful villages, beautiful countryside and cycling through the forest to Chateau Chambord. We bought cheeses, wine and milk from Anne-Marie’s family farm and local products from the village shops. We had excellent dinners at La Chanterelle (at the end of the road) and Chez Walter in St Dye sur Loire. Thank you Anne-Marie for a really enjoyable stay at Le Mas, we would love to return.

Great location

The cottage is ideally situated on the River. We were able to visit lots of local vineyards and pretty towns surrounding the area. The cottage had everything we required for a comfortable stay. A perfect spring break.

We wanted to visit the Loire without summer heat and busy crowds of tourists. We wanted to enjoy rural/village French living. We wanted a comfortable, homely property in which we could relax. This property/location was perfect for us. Good walks, charming towns to visit, Chambord is very close, excellent food and wines ... and the cheese from the owner's Croc du Merle farm - Excellent! The week started in lovely warm sunny spring weather ... and ended with a real frosty return to winter. A perfect spring break!

Un gite au top

Gite très bien située (en bord de Loire et à 6 km de Chambord), bien décorée, très bien équipée, propre, très cosy. Les enfants ont apprécié le jardin avec les balançoires, table de ping-pong ainsi que les livres, jeux de société et autres puzzles. Les adultes ont apprécié le salon de jardin sur la terrasse devant et le poêle à granulets pour les soirées. Il est agréable d'arriver dans un gite avec les lits faits, les serviettes de toilette sur chaque lit, de trouver des torchons ainsi que les produits de base en quantité suffisante pour le weekend (produit pour lave vaisselle, liquide vaisselle, sel, poivre, papier toilette, et les granulets pour le poêle...). Un excellent accueil de la part d'Anne-Marie qui est très chaleureuse et encore merci pour les cadeaux d'accueil qui ont été savourés par les adultes (vin) et les enfants (cookies). Un gite à recommander

Excellent property, superb location for cycling the Loire Valley and visiting beautiful castles

Superb holiday! Le Mas is a lovely, comfortable house, well appointed and equipped with everything you may need for a short or a long stay. Private, secure parking for the car and plenty of space to store our bikes. Our host Anne-Marie was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We were welcomed with the bottle of wine from the family vineyard, which was superb. Thank you! My husband and I enjoyed beautiful sunsets over the Loire on the front terrace and dinners under the big cedar tree in the back garden. It was our cycling holiday and the location was perfect for it, next to La Loire a Velo route. The house is big and children friendly and we will definitely come back with the family.

Farmer in Muides for almost 35 years, I wanted to open a gîte to receive holiday makers in our beautiful region. We already welcome groups in our dairy and wine farm. I love meeting new people from all over the world.

Why they chose this property

We bought this house facing the Loire around 10 years ago. Our children have been living in it. We fully renovated it in a refine and modern style. It is the second year of holiday rental. All our holiday-makers are very happy with their stay.

What makes this property unique

People appreciate the decoration and the calm. The fenced garden with wonderful blue cedars and the terrace overlooking the Loire are a place where it is pleasant to recharge your batteries.
