If you want space, this is your place! Great escape for large and extended families. Great for family reunions. Rent this executive home with 16 rooms and 4600 sq. ft. overlooking over 200 feet of gorgeous Lake Mitchell lakefront. House features 7 bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large living room, kitchen and eating area, an impressive separate dining room and an English pub (yes, a PUB!) with a wood burning fireplace, four new cable televisions. Go upstairs and enjoy a 300 sq. ft. game room with pool table, Foosball table, and tournament-size (22 feet!) shuffleboard overlooking the lake. Find the corner family/reading room and enjoy large windows with a panoramic view of the lake. It has a modern kitchen with granite countertops, huge windows throughout, new carpet, two fireplaces, and a full washer and dryer. There is a second full refrigerator in the utility room, and a compact refrigerator and a wine cooler in the Pub. There is a window air conditioner in the master bedroom and double queen bedroom, and a room air conditioner in the Family Room.
Now step outside one of four back doors that all lead to spectacular lake views. Relax in a large covered patio out the pub door, or a fire pit nestled in a private semi-wooded lot along the water, or out on the private 90 foot dock to enjoy stunning sunsets. Watch the kids enjoy the water, which is shallow (2-3 feet) out for a significant distance, with a sandy bottom. Also four kayaks available at no additional cost.
Lake Mitchell is also connected to Lake Cadillac by canal which provides access to nearly 4000 acres of fishing and water recreation. Easy access to property, plenty of parking, and just minutes to local restaurants, shopping, and downtown Cadillac. Convenient to both Caberfae and Crystal Mountain ski resorts, and short drives to Lake Michigan and Traverse City.
There is literally something for everybody at this property - and you will thoroughly enjoy the house even on a bad weather day!
Note: There are two exterior cameras on the premises. One is mounted next to the carport viewing the driveway. The other is located at the north end of the front porch viewing the front door entrance.

Our family enjoyed staying at this property very much. Swimming off the pier, sand bottom, clean lake, and access to so many Michigan activities; boating, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, sand dunes, etc. Well-stocked kitchen amenities, great floor plan, comfortable bedding, laundry, dining and great recreational room upstairs. The good reviews were accurate. We even took formal family portraits on the grounds, and the property provided a beautiful background.

This truly was one of our favorite vacations spots. This home had everything: a beautiful view, a spacious house, well stocked kitchen, plenty of water toys, and yard toys. Our large family group (ages 1 to 76) had a terrific time at Linda and Doug's home — a positive renting experience through and through. The setting and property are lovely: thoughtfully well-appointed (fully equipped is an understatement; I'm afraid we're now ruined for future bookings), ample space (inside and out), and too many "extras" to do justice by listing here. We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals and this one was the best by far. It was clean, and spacious, inside and out. They had extra supplies for us to use (paper products, kitchen staples, non-perishables).The house is beautiful and comfortably fit 12 people 6 adults and 6 kids (3 families of 4). The outside space is a great place to hang out and sit by the lake or play yard games. The dock is nice and the kids had a great time playing in the water near the house.The location is great and we had easy access to grocery, activities, and restaurants. We don't typically visit the same lake, but if we ever return, we will definitely stay here again.The owners were so nice and easy to communicate with, this truly was a dream rental.

We had 7 kids under the age of 7. The lake water is only a few feet deep close to the shore and it was perfect for small non swimmers. The kayaks and flotation devices were used for the older kids and adults. The firepit was great and seasoned firewood was provided. We had a fantastic sunset views each night. The house is in good condition and fully stocked. They provided everything that you may need. The house is itself is set up well. Prior to renting the renters were very gracious about covid and the challenges. Our family has some high risk people and they were very understanding about our concerns. I can understand why they would have repeat customers. I would stay here again.

This property and home are fantastic - above and beyond our expectations! Very clean, well maintained, so many amenities, and well stocked. We had a wonderful week with the home having so much space for all of us, different gathering spaces for different activities, and the game room and pub were a big hit. Wonderful Lake House for Family Gathering

Our family stayed here to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The house was very clean, well stocked, and spacious enough to accommodate our large group easily. The lake was beautiful! We rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed it all week long! The lake was never busy which made tubing on the boat with the whole family easy and fun! The property owners were very responsive and have created a wonderful vacation home for guests to enjoy! My parents loved it more than any other vacation rental we have stayed at!! This home is well designed, comfortable, clean, stocked, organized and well-maintained. The owner is exceedingly hospitable and communicative. Wonderful property!!

This property was as advertise and more!! The house was extremely well-stocked with kitchens staples, beach towels, life jackets, bug spray, and so much more. It was nice that all 15 of us had a bed and no one had to use an air mattress. The upstairs game room was a big hit with the kids and we watched many Euro 2020 soccer games in the pub. The amount of frontage along Lake Mitchell was awesome and gave plenty of room for setting up cornhole and a badminton court without getting in each other's way. The lake has a sandy, shallow bottom for at least 250'-300' from shore. The owners were very communicative and helpful if we had any questions. If we were ever in the Cadillac area again, we would not hesitate to rent this place again.

Spectacular!

Doug and Linda's place is an absolute oasis. We were a family of 8 ranging in age from 6 to 80 and it was a perfect place for all! Doug and Linda are simply amazing hosts....so easy to communicate with and they regularly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best! The house is very large, but the way it is designed and flows makes it easy to be close when you want to and apart when you need to..... The location is perfect....right on the water making it ideal for all sorts of activities from boating to swimming to fishing to watching the beautiful sunsets! Every amenity you can think of both in and outside the house has been provided to make your stay pleasant and worry free.....including amazing neighbors! The memories we all took from our time will last a lifetime. Thank you for sharing your oasis with us!

Perfect getaway at Lake Mitchell

We had a really great experience here with our group of 15. The house was very well supplied with all the essentials that were needed. The upstairs game room had a beautiful view of the lake as everyone enjoyed their time in it. Also the rest of the house was very nice and clean with multiple places to sit and gather. All the bedrooms where very nicely arranged with very comfortable beds. The owner was very hospitable and generous with all of our needs. I don't think it could have been any better. We will all definitely have great memories to remember from our stay and would suggest that if anyone is thinking about booking this place, that they should as they won't regret it!

We arrived to a very inviting, warm and clean home. Every detail had been thought of. Our friends arrived a day later. They too appreciated the lovely home. We especially enjoyed congregating in the kitchen, cooking together and enjoying the peaceful setting. On the last night we also enjoyed the fire pit. The sky was clear so we got to see LOTS of stars. Was a wonderful stay.

Uniquely excellent vacation home

This home has all we had hoped for and more. Plenty of private and public gathering spaces, it was very clean and thoroughly well stocked for a large group. Tons of thoughtful extras. Gorgeous sunsets and views, an authentic bar room, upstairs game room with shuffleboard and pool table, large lot ideal for bocce and outside games, kayaks and very nice bicycles also included. We thoroughly enjoyed the covered outdoor seating areas. The owners are caring, professional and very responsive. When 1 of the fans died, the owners quickly ordered replacements. What was missing? Nothing! Everyone from ages 11-80 had a wonderful time.

This house is absolutely amazing! Enormous lake front property, incredible game room upstairs, gorgeous bathrooms and a pub! It was stocked with everything you could ever need: beach towels, volleyball net, kayaks, bikes, floats, shampoo, soap, bandaids, spices etc. Just incredible. Bring yourselves, food and clothing and you will need nothing else.

Best Family Vacation

The place was beautiful and Linda & Doug could not of been nicer. If we had a question Linda was quick to respond. Seriously the bathroom cabinet and linen closets were packed with toiletries, towels and anything else you can think of. You don't even need to bring your own beach towels. The bathrooms have all been upgraded and the beds are comfy. There is something to do for every age. We have 8 children ranging from 10 to 24. The family had so much fun they want to come back next year!! Thank you again Linda & Doug for sharing your beautiful home.
