We enjoyed this home and lake for our honeymoon 5 years ago and came back to celebrate our anniversary. Both visits were amazing. The home is cozy with all the amenities and we caught plenty of bass!
Our family gathered at this clean, roomy, well supplied home for a few days of peaceful time away from stressful lives. Grandchildren loved the paddleboat and dock. Adults loved that location was so close to bigger fishing lakes in area. We had a wonderful time! Loved this place!
The cabin was very clean, everything you need to cook a home cooked meal, including a crockpot. Us order folks couldn't use the paddle boat, too hard to dump water out of it after the rain. Nice picnic table with umbrella for the hot sunny days. We would definitely recommend this place!
We enjoyed our stay at this gem of a property on Beaver Lake. The long private dock out to the water provides a tranquil environment to sit and relax or hop in the paddleboat and do some fishing. The Smores provided as part of our stay was a nice touch. Would stay here again on my next trip to Hillman.
The property was very nice, clean and well maintained. It was well stocked with supplies for cooking. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. It is close to lots of great fishing lakes. We caught two bass in the lake on the property. The hot tub and deck were wonderful for hanging out at night. The neighbors dogs stopped by every day. They were friendly, but just be aware if you have an anxious pup of your own.
The cabin was absolutely beautiful! The lake view was stunning. Pretty much had the lake to ourselves. It was really nice to get away from the metro Detroit area and recharge. My husband and I brought our dog and she had such a blast. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone that is looking to spend time with their family, loved ones and their dog!
Due to the wilderness location but very comfortable house, we convinced our adult son to join us. So much to see not far from here, but also great location to really feel away from everything. The pictures don't do it justice. If you need to get away from it all and/or love nature, can't beat this place.
We arrived in the midst of the hottest day of the year, with temps at 93. It would have been nice if the "bunk room" had AC, but we used the pull out bed in the couch and positioned fans strategically around the interior. The 1st night was bearable, certainly not what was desired, but we chalked it up to the adventures of cabin life! By the end of the 2nd day the temps were cooler and the cabin became comfortable. By the endo f our 4 day stay, the morning temps were in the 50's and the morning coffee was perfect on the back porch!!
This cabin was perfect! Very clean, great location. The scenery was beautiful. It has all the amenities that you would need and more. I definitely want to come back
This cabin is very comfortable and well supplied with everything you may need. The location is very quiet and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this cabin to others.
We had a great stay! The cottage had everything we needed. The property was very clean and we had a peaceful weekend. We enjoyed the pedal boat and the fire pit and the hot tub!
This was a very Beautiful home to stay at. Everything was so nice, well maintained and great instructions for use of the place. Night sky in the peaceful hot tube was Amazing. Hope to book again.
We had a great visit and even saw the NORTHERN LIGHTS from the backyard dock. The dock was a great place to star gaze, listen to the owls, and enjoy the little lunar eclipse. We hiked and swam at nearby Ess Lake and ClearWater State Parks. The place was clean and adorable with all the up north decor and beautiful views of the lake.
