The Praz Torrent studio located in the ECO CHALET WALSER: built new in 2016, eco-construction, sleeping 3 people maximum, it is accommodation on the ground floor, at the foot of the Balme Vallorcine ski area and its gondola, located in a preserved rural area of the Chamonix valley, a haven of peace in the land of Mont Blanc. The comfort of this new house and its energy performance make this chalet the ideal place to accommodate a couple during their holidays in the mountains and to enjoy the joys of skiing, discovering the mountain environment, to rest or to practice all mountain activities from the chalet.
The Walser eco-chalet with an excellent level of comfort, built according to eco-construction and energy-saving standards: Blown wood wool insulation, geothermal heating and hot water, triple glazing, wooden frame, solar panels, mechanical ventilation double flow. In order to share our passion for life in the mountains and our attachment to the traditional Alpine habitat, we built this contemporary chalet inspired by the traditional Walser habitat of our mountainous countries, still present in Vallorcine Mont Blanc, which is the only Walser village in France. The exterior design with its larch wood and iron frame, as well as the corbelled rooms recall and modernize the Walser design, which gives Chalet Walser a very warm character, both modern and authentic but also truly unique. Chalet Walser is located at the foot of the ski slopes and on the Tour du Mont Blanc variant of the hike, just 15kms from Chamonix Mont Blanc and 3kms from Switzerland. The accommodation is located in a chalet built in eco-construction, water and geothermal heating, instant solar electricity, triple-glazed windows, blown wood wool building insulation, double flow ventilation. The toilets are equipped for people with reduced mobility. The chalet has just been built in the mountain village of Vallorcine and the accommodation is intended for tourist accommodation.
The Walser chalet is a 5-minute walk from the 8-seater gondola to access the Vallorcine Le Tour area and the Vallorcine SNCF train station. The Mont Blanc Regional Express Train serves the Fayet St Gervais France train line, via Chamonix, Argentière and Vallorcine and continues to Martigny Switzerland. Connection to Martigny for TGV Geneva airport and Lausanne.
