This is a large place with many rooms, awesome decor, and a warmly comforting vibe. It's a fun place to stay, a real bargain, and incredibly easy in terms of all processes for checking in/out and communicating with the host. I felt so at home here, so comfortable. Families could easily have a great experience, as would couples, small groups, and even individuals like me.Within an hour's drive any direction are incredible natural/outdoor opportunities, historical highlights, and the most gorgeous scenery. I used my stay as home base for 10-12 miles of hiking each of the four or five days of my stay. Hard to beat a place this wonderful!

Well stocked with anything we might need for any age! Pictures accurately display the home, rooms, property, etc. Very convenient to get to. Owners quick to respond. Only challenge was access to tvs-not compatible to any of our subscriptions, so we could not watch any television. Very interesting and nostalgic decor! Good value!

This was our 4th or 5th yr staying at this property. This property is in the perfect location for our group; we hunt a property 7 min away! Ellen is a great host. She promptly answers any and all questions and is very knowledgeable of the area. The property has everything one could need and then some. Thanks again Ellen for your hospitality. Daddy Roy's is Amazing!

We had a great time at Daddy Roy's Bed & Vintage in Independence, WI. Mrs. Hayes was incredible, very accommodating, and quick to respond to any questions I had. The house is exactly as pictured. It was a step back in time with all the modern conveniences. The home was immaculate and had all of the necessities for our week-long stay. Some of the spaces reflected the area's history; one bedroom was based on London, and another was based on bicycles. The house was cozy, and warm, and makes you feel at ease. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!

Just what we needed!

My four girlfriends and I had a blast in this home. The decor was on point. Location was perfect for where our event took place. The cleanliness of this house was just what we expected it to be. Beds were all comfy. Thank you for the best weekend stay we could’ve asked for. We will definitely book again for next year!

Loved it!

We returned after staying here in 2017. Very comfortable. Our group gathered from Wisconsin, Minnesota and New York to visit our family nearby. We bowled in Arcadia for afternoon fun and then hung out at the house over a long weekend to celebrate Christmas. Our host, Ellen, was available by phone but once we arrived we easily navigated everything on our own. Thanks for helping us make new Christmas memories in Independence.

The place.was perfect. Clean and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home.

We had a good 3 days and got to visit with family. The house was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. We arrived to a nice warm house after a 20 hour drive. Everything was great. Went to see a few area attractions and would definitely rent again if/when we return.

Great Place to Stay

We had a family get together over New Years Eve weekend. Our daughter and her family live in the area so the house was a great place to stay for all of us that don't live near by. The house was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable for a good nights sleep. The living room has a roomy table for eating together and the kitchen had all we needed to cook a few dinners and breakfast. Ellen was very helpful when we had questions before and during our stay.
