Much of the grade II listed complex and surrounding brewery buildings date from the late 1800 early 1900’s and many have stones inlaid commemorating their construction year. Now a popular destination with many restaurant’s café and bars making it a vibrant location where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by. Tucked in the harbourside streets here you will find original Tudor harbour buildings estimated to have built 1600 and well worth a visit, with a very interesting history to share. You will also find the Weymouth Museum, with some incredible facts and artefacts, there is more to this seaside town than meets the eye. The harbour is home to the lifting bridge where you can watch the luxury yachts head out to sea, and then walk over the bridge into the town with it’s winding streets of boutique shops and onto the seafront Esplanade and beach. It is a lovely conversion of the old oust house and has many interesting characteristics. It was a good size and easily accommodated us all (family gathering of 9 adults). It was comfortable and has all the facilities you could need for catering at home if you wanted to. The location was very central but the otherside of the harbour from the town centre which meant is was a bit quieter but still easily in range of pubs, restaurants, shops etc. It also had private access with code operated gates which meant only residents were within the grounds. Negatives, none really, we would only say that some of facilities are starting to show their age and use. For example, some Kitchen doors starting to sag, main bathroom shower door not sealing properly, a fresh lick of paint needed in some areas etc. but nothing that stopped us enjoying ourselves.
