This spacious, beachfront, two bedroom condominium is conveniently located just around the corner and down a short hallway from the elevators and features a remodeled kitchen and dining area. Tastefully decorated throughout, this peaceful retreat is the perfect spot to enjoy your SANDESTIN® Golf and Beach Resort beach vacation. Breathe in the fresh breezes coming in off the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico from your spacious private balcony overlooking some of the nicest beaches among Destin and South Walton's renowned sugar white sand beaches. Then head down the elevator to a relaxing day by the resort style pool complete with separate kiddie pool, seasonal snack bar and hot tub or to your choice of one of many adventures on the resort or off.

Great Condo

Perfect Location

Our stay was just alright

The unit was average. Nothing was awful, but it wasn’t great either. The beds were very uncomfortable. We had to re-wash every dish we used as everything was dirty coming out of the dishwasher. There was constant construction noise all day long.

Hi Tom, I appreciate the feedback. The mattress are brand new and we bought the ones that most people would find comfortable. This condo is constantly updated and we just got new window treatments as well. October is a great time to come, the weather is not too hot, the Gulf is nice and the rates are the lowest because it is the off season, but it is also the time most owners do their remodeling.

Tired but nice

I was happy with the accommodations. One bad thing was as we were asleep the first night, the king bed collapsed. One of the planks slipped off the side board. We put it back on and then it happened again early in the morning. Mind you, we are small people and dont weigh much. In the morning we checked out the situation and realized that the boards (3 of them) were not screwed down and the side board looked like this had happened before because there was a chunk of wood missing. Luckily my husband is a contractor and so we ran to the local Home Depot and bought some long 1x4 boards, screws and tools to fix it. We also put some leg supports under several of the boards. Worked great for the rest of the time but it wasted a whole morning😩. Later that week we found some of the original support legs in the night stand. Sadly this bed was poorly put together from the beginning. We never called the manager because we figured we could just fix it ourselves. The other issue that I have with this rental is that it wasn’t a “Sandestin” rental. We could use the pool and go to the beach and use the shuttle, however we couldn’t use the other amenities that were there. We were told that because it was through another company, we couldn’t use pickleball courts, tennis courts, bikes, lap pool, etc. That was kind of crappy because we were looking forward to those things. Also, the linens were very tired and worn.

Mary, Thank you for your review and we are glad that you were happy with the condo, its a nice one. We're sorry to hear that the bed rails fell out on you while sleeping. This is a first for us! We have a maintenance staff (with their own tools) that would have been happy to repair it had you just let us know. We don't expect or want our guests using their vacation time to repair broken beds or anything else! Thank you for pointing out that we aren't Sandestin. Most people like booking with us because of that reason and that they can see the pictures of each individual condo before they book. We are more personal and responsive to our guest's needs. Many of the amenities, like tennis, are available to all for a slightly higher price. If you would have asked us we could have directed you to the free pickle ball and basketball courts, the best bike, beach and board rentals and just about everything else related to Sandestin!

We arrived at the unit facility around 3 pm (check-in time 4 pm) and sent a message asking if we could go ahead and access the unit. As we waited on a reply we decided to go up and check it out. We entered the unit and checked the beds out as we do during any stay. We did a quick walk through and decided to go eat. 30 minutes after we entered the unit we received a phone call from the property manager yelled aggressively and inappropriately at us, scolding us for entering the unit. We were spoken to as if we were criminals. We had no problem paying the $50.00 for entering the room for "early check in" but as someone who works with people in a "customer service" environment it was the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever encountered. Every question we asked during our stay resulted in a rude response including our water being shut off for 12 hours. We failed to read a tiny fine print post that there was an extremely sensitive water leak detection system. And although we never spilt or had water on the floor we were blamed for the 12 hours of no water. During that time we called the property manager numerous times. It was finally communicated to us the following morning that we were suppose to call the water failure number. Lastly, we were rudely accused of taking a yellow rubber arm band used to access the pool/beach area. I WOULD NEVER STAY IN A UNIT MANAGED BY THIS GROUP/MANAGER AGAIN. Every question/ encounter was the worst I have experienced and we love to travel.

This guest emailed about an early check in. I replied 1 minute later that it would be possible but that the previous guest lost a wristband and the inspector still had to inspect the unit. There was no response from guest. The inspector was delayed so I brought the wristband by at 3 and saw that the beds were messed up causing me to think the housekeeper had a problem. Found out that the guest just decided to enter in the condo early without telling me. I placed the missing wristband in and called the guest informing her of the early check in charge. Westwinds has a water leak detection system. It is on the welcome letter in the unit, on our App and on the email with the access codes. This was my response to the guest: Westwinds has a halo water system. I called this morning for you and the water is back on. I know you are checking out today, but if it happens again, the number is on the email, welcome letter and app. They said someone spilled water on the guest bathroom floor. Have a nice day. This was just an unpleasant guest with a bad attitude that does not want to follow simple rules. We are always available and happy to help and she is saying things that are false.
