Villa Sotto il Monte has two apartments for rent, one for 5 - 6 and the other for 2 - 4.
A third apartment is occupied by the owner. The Villa is situated in a superb position with magnificent views across the Vale of Umbria to the Martani Mountains and to the nearby town of Trevi, which can be reached by foot in only ten minutes. Trevi has an unspoilt charm and offers several very good restaurants, a pizzeria, bars and shops. The beautifully restored Villa lies in a semi-fortified estate just outside the city walls. Below the house is the secluded garden which has a large salt water swimming pool (12m x 6m). Il Tramonto has a large double bedroom which leads directly onto a private terrace with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside and towards Trevi. There is a second bedroom with two single beds which can be combined. The apartment has a bathroom with shower and small bath tub and a new kitchen/dining room with induction hob and oven. The apartment is spacious, light and comfortably furnished. There are mosquito nets on all windows.

Beautiful comfortable place to stay; well located and a advantage to be located on a rural lane outside the town which was a ten minute walk. The balcony was a great place to sit with fantastic views, looking up at the town of Trevi and across the valley to the hills beyond. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and had excellent kitchen facilities - equipment for cooking, with oil and garlic, amongst other condiments, left for us to use. Comfortable bed, hot water, The pool and garden were a bonus.

Great place to stay in Italy and relax away from the busy tourist areas. Trevi is a lovely little village with a true Italian village and Fiona is a lovely host.

Beautiful Trevi

We enjoyed our vacation here, the apartment is very compact but the extensive pool area more than makes up for it, its was amazing! The beds were super comfy and the property is just a stroll into the village

Lovely stay in Trevi

Great location, in the countryside with a beautiful view of Trevi and the valley. Short 10 minute walk to town with restaurants etc. We stayed during the Ottobre Trevano, a special time where the town turns streets back to medieval time and you can dine in "taverna"" with great home made cooking. Fiona is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed

Rooms with a view

We had a great time. The outstanding feature has to be the balcony with its fantastic view and all-day sunshine. We had great weather during our stay and invariably ate our meals on the balcony. It is also very good for watching birds if you are into that! Very quiet location within 10 minutes walk of Trevi. Good base for us as plenty of interesting towns and good hill-walking within easy reach. Kitchen and bathroom slightly dated but perfectly serviceable and clean.

Umbrian Bliss

Situated on the eastern side of the Spoletto (Umbrian) valley the apartment offered stunning views across the valley to Montefalco, Bavagna and beyond and was just a short walk to the beautiful medieval city of Trevi. The apartment was beautifully furnished and was comfortable and provided all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The owner, Fiona, was an excellent host and was there to greet us and was on hand to offer help and advice when needed. We have visited Umbria many times and love this region of Italy and Fiona's house provides a wonderful place from which to re-visit the wonders of this part of Umbria and beyond. Sitting on the terrace with a glass of Prosecco (or Montelfalco Rosso) in the evening watching the spectacular sunsets was one of many happy memories will will cherish following our stay in Trevi.

Herrliche Auszeit, Sonne im Herbst und ein grandioser Blick

Wir haben die Ferien im Herbst sehr genossen. Die Buchung unkompliziert. Der Kontakt zu Fiona sehr herzlich. So sind wir in den Urlaub gestartet. Der späte Check-In nach der Anreise war kein Problem. Die Wohnung war sauber, ausreichend groß und für uns mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet. So haben wir 2 erholsame Wochen mit noch warmen Wetter mit tollem Ausblick in das Tal und vielen Aktivitäten in der Natur verbracht.

Schöner Urlaub

Wir hatten einen guten Aufenthalt. Fiona ist sehr nett und die Kommunikation war sehr gut. Die Wohnung ist sauber, die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Weg zum Pool und zur Waschmaschine waren leider nicht sehr schön und etwas beschwerlich. Der Poolbereich hätte etwas mehr Pflege vertragen können. Es gibt einen Hund, der sich viel am Pool aufhält und gerne Ball spielt. Es ist kein Problem, seinen Ball immer wieder zu werfen. Leider bringt er dadurch aber einiges an Dreck in den Pool. Unseren Wasserball hat er leider kaputt gemacht. Es ist ein älterer Hund, der sehr leise ist und gerne Ball spielt. Wirklich sehr erwähnenswert ist der Blick auf Trevi und ins Tal. Ein Tipp am Rande. Beim Aufsuchen der Unterkunft nicht auf googlemaps verlassen. Da wird man leider in eine Einbahnstraße geleitet, in die man nicht rein fahren darf. Dies hat Fiona schon mehrfach bei Google reklamiert. Lieber vor der Ankunft bei Fiona nach der Wegbeschreibung fragen, dann erspart man sich einiges an Suche und Umwegen. ausgestattet.

Wat een heerlijke locatie

Wat hebben wij op een heerlijke lokatie gezeten met een prachtig uitzicht. De vogel geluiden en rust maken je heerlijk ontspannen. Het zwembad was ook heerlijk. Je loopt binnen 10 minuten naar het centrum waar meerdere goeie restaurants zitten. Dit is een verborgen parel.

Vacanza i primi di agosto con moglie e 2 figli. Appartamento spazioso e ben curato. Bagno grande. 2 camere da letto (una con divano e tv). Cucina un po' piccola ma con tutti i confort, in ogni caso c'è la terrazza. Bella piscina immersa nel verde. Parcheggio sulla stradina adiacente la villa. La sig.ra Fiona molto disponibile e simpatica. Tranquillità a 2 passi da Trevi. Vacanza rilassante e rigenerante.

Beeindruckende umbrische Villa.Sehr netter Empfang durch Fiona, tolles Schwimmbecken im Garten. Neue moderne Küche. Sfeervolle und geschmackvolle Inneneinrichtung, Wohn- u Schlafzimmer in einem, was ich als kleinen Nachteil empfand. Den Weg nach Trevi laufen um abends essen zu gehen war mir im Dunkeln zu gefährlich. Man muss sich einstellen auf viel Mückenstiche Aussicht auf Trevi is phänomenal vom Balkon aus!

Klasse Unterkunft

Die Unterkunft war richtig klasse. Eine tolle Wohnung mit einem herrlichen Balkon mit super Blick auf die Berge. Fiona und Richard sind beide wunderbare liebenswerte Gastgeber, welche einem auch Tips geben, was sehenswert ist. Die Lage ist ebenso bestens geeignet um zu Fuß in die Altstadt Trevi zu gelangen. Great location but needs Work

Perfect location in Trevi and very nice host, but our Wifi did not work for the majority of the stay which was a big problem for me. Two of the beds are also in need of replacements. Could use some more amenities in the kitchen/ bathroom.

The Villa is just a ten minute walk from Trevi where there all amenities including some exceptional restaurants. There is a mainline railway station, just ten minutes away by car, in the valley below, with trains to Rome and Florence.
