This is the perfect group/family gathering place! Incredible location, so much to do and the cabin is the perfect set up to host it all. Such great memories!
We stayed for three nights with our family and friends. The location was perfect and the lake was steps away. The boat slip was a great amenity. The house had everything we needed.
We love staying here. We’ve been coming to Priest Lake for years and love Outlet Bay. Brad’s cabin is excellent, well suited to a family gathering with everything you need for cooking, fun and entertainment. And Brad is super easy to work with and always responsive.
Nicely equipped roomy lake cabin. Comfy beds and living room furniture. It has a well equipped kitchen for making meals and is located close to restaurants. The boat launch and slip is very convenient if you bring a boat. Also the beach is clean and the water calm
Brad and Jennifer are awesome hosts. Their property is well maintained, well stocked and always clean. Communication is timely and frequent. We have stayed here many times and never been disappointed. Thanks Brad and Jennifer!
The house has plenty of space for our family reunions. The kitchen has everything you need for making great meals. The beach and boat dock are wonderful. The owner is very responsive if you have a question or minor issue. This is our third stay and we love this place.

We really appreciate our return guests who treat out place and our neighbors with consideration. We are happy to welcome Sharon and her group to be our guests again in the future.
We wanted to get away to a cozy cabin for the winter. The kids found a great sledding hill just up the road. We also did some snow shoeing around the trails. Cozy fireplace made it nice to sit and play games with the kids in the evening. Perfect little winter retreat spot.
We were pleasantly surprised with how well the vacation went, especially the boat launch, boat slip and beach area. The ease of access to the water was perfect. The surprise (or maybe I just didn't read the amenities closely enough) was the pool table downstairs. Made the perfect hangout for our pack of teenagers. Really enjoyed our stay. Recommend this location highly. Hosts were very communicative and easy to reach.
Great location, nice cabin very close to the the water. Very nice owners.
The location was wonderful--quiet, close to river/lake. The neighbors were very nice. Owner was great at communicating and answering questions. The cabin was nice looking from outside. Inside was nice but bed mattresses were subpar. There were a few cobwebs in downstairs shower. It just didn't seem super clean for the cleaning charges that are added on. Overall a very nice place to stay for a week.
The cabin was beautiful and clean. The pictures don't do it justice! It was spacious, perfect for our large group. The stay was nice and pleasant and the owner was very kind and courteous, helped answer our questions and concerns. The neighborhood around us was wonderful and we felt very safe. We even had a chance to meet some of the wonderful residents there. The private beach with gorgeous views of nature was the cherry on the top! Over-all I highly recommend this place, especially if you have a large group that needs to be accommodated. We certainly will be coming back!

Thanks David! I appreciate the great communication and your consideration and care for our home! We look forward to welcoming you back again- hopefully when you can enjoy some nicer weather and warmer lake temps.

Nice house, well equipped for cooking and family time. Owner accused us of having dogs and too many people. They were the neighbors. Parking is a big issue with snowmobile trailers. Not best location for snowmobilng. Had to haul out to best trails. Owner kept sending cleaning instructions. First time being asked to wash all sheets and towels in a vrbo. Cleaning fee high when we had to do most of it.

This group was a disappointment from the beginning. At moment arrival, one from their group decided our firewood stack was an appropriate place to urinate. Security camera revealed that they showed up with 4 cars and 4 trailers. Amazing to us that this was not disclosed especially since our arrival instructions specifically note room for max 4 cars and 1 trailer. We’ve never had a guest fail to mention an intention to have so many vehicles particularly since very few properties anywhere could accommodate this. These two issues had us immediately on alert and concerned about compliance with this group.
Due to problems we’ve had in the past, we specifically asked guests to not pull through a 90 degree turn pulling trailers through our upper driveway. Of course, they ignored this request multiple times and became unresponsive until I went to texting. Security camera showed two dogs in the yard so they were reminded that there is a no- pet policy. There was no evidence otherwise that they violated this policy. Reservation was made for 8 adults and 2 children (10). When an extra car (5th) showed up, they were asked how many people they had staying. Guest admitted to 12 full time and 14 for one night. Seem to think reservations are open ended and they could bring as many as they wanted with no implications.
In the end there was no damage reported, except to standing with neighbors. They cleaned up pretty well. Ran the laundry as requested in what looked like a few big loads leaving them all piled indiscriminately on one bed. Cleaner had to rerun some of it as it proved not to be sufficiently clean. One white towel ruined as it was washed with something red. First guests to ever complain about washing the linens they used. Most realize the difference between a vacation rental and a hotel. This is standard for rentals and clearly noted in the rental instructions/ agreement. Although property was left in good condition, guests showed little consideration for the owner or the rules. This group will not be welcome to return.
It was rainy and the weather was just starting to get colder. The cabin was perfect for sitting around the fire, playing pool and when there was a break in weather, beautiful walks in the woods and by the lake. The fall colors were so pretty. Highly recommend!
The photos of the cabin do not do it justice. We were happily surprised. Stocked with everything you need from pots/pans/crockpot/griddle and a plethora of silverware! New plush bath towels and lots of blankets.
This was our first time being in outlet bay, having had a family cabin on the lake for 35 years. We love going after Labor Day so the lake is more deserted. It was great weather and the little dock for the kids to swim off and beach were great. Such a short walk to tote stuff down and back. The dock space for the boat was great and as we maneuvered the bay, got more comfortable with bringing the boat in and out. It is very convenient having the boat launch right on site too.
As for things to think about when booking this cabin, there isn’t privacy. Everyone in the neighborhood hoa is watching you and not big fans of renters. We left a few sand toys on the beach when we went out in the boat for a bit, knowing we’d be back to play more before the night was over, but we were reported. Not a big deal, we cleaned it up and made sure not to leave toys down there again, but just some uptight neighbors. We didn’t even see anyone else use the beach while we were there for 6 nights, but still someone has issue with our sand toys. The fire pit is down on the hoa beach, so we were worried we’d do something wrong and get reported again, so we only had a small fire for s’mores one night for maybe 15 min.
All in all, after Labor Day, we’d definitely book this cabin again. Mid summer, we’d probably try for something with a more private beach area. It was a great week and a lovely comfortable cabin to make new memories in. Thanks to Brad and family for opening it up to renters.
This is a great vacation spot for families. Quiet private beach where the water is calm for kids to swim, paddle board and kayak. Close to tons of local eateries! Fantastic spot!
This was our second time staying at this cabin for a family vacation and it always hits the mark! Can’t beat a priest lake vacation and this cabin has it all! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
Our extended family gets together every year at a lake to reconnect and enjoy the water activities. This house is great: close to the beach, well equipped kitchen, enough bedrooms and baths, a nice living room and sufficient parking for our vehicles. The owner is very helpful and responsive if we have questions or needs. .
Great house, close beach access with convenient boat slip!
Great location and beautiful home! The boat slip was a major plus and we appreciated the map of the outlet to get to priest lake. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there!
The property is in a prime location, short walk to the water and a great swimming area. Even though it is in a HOA the neighbors were really friendly and helpful. The property is perfect for a family of 10-12. The owners were easy to work with and gave us all the information we needed. We would go back here again in a heart beat.

About the host
Hosted by Brad Smith
When not at the lake, Brad, Jennifer, Courtney and Cooper Smith live and work in Western Washington. For years we have regularly visited and enjoyed the beautiful lakes of Washington and North Idaho on various trips with family and close friends. Brad is a University of Washington Alumni and Jennifer graduated from Western Washington University. Courtney and Cooper go to school in Sammamish, WA. We are big fans of the Seahawks, Sounders, Mariners and Huskies (with lots of Cougar ties too). We are blessed to have so many friends and family members in Spokane and Northern Idaho. We have chosen Priest lake as a favorite destination to spend time with them.
Why they chose this property
Welcome to our second home and favorite vacation destination. We felt lucky to find and acquire such an immaculate, detailed and perfectly maintained property. It is a 4 BR 2 Bath cabin with large and inviting common areas and additional sleep accommodations. It is nestled amongst the trees in Outlet Bay within steps of the lake. There is a HOA maintained sandy beach with swimming area, swim dock, picnic tables, fire pit and boat launch. The cabin comes with a boat slip available for use. The protected cove offers an exceptional calm setting for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding with a very short watercraft/ boat ride to access all parts of Priest Lake.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin combines the rustic cabin setting with the accommodations and quality of a 4 star hotel resort. It is the perfect setting for a vacation for 1 to 3 families. Priest lake and it's many amenities and activities offer incredible outdoor fun year round, but particularly in Summer and Winter. In addition to miles of snowmobiling trails, Schweitzer Ski Area is a short drive away. Summer brings endless outdoor fun in, on and around the lake. Don't miss the Huckleberry Festival!
