It was a beautiful home, we went in the winter and all the snow just made everything look more surreal. About a 20-30 min drive to Yosemite village, and home has plenty of room for you to feel comfortable. No complaints at all
Kildrummy Lodge is a beautiful spacious accommodation nestled in and amongst the wilderness offered around Yosemite West.
There was plenty of space for our family of nine, allowing younger members to break away into their own space, minimising disturbance to the peace and tranquil the property had to offer.
Yosemite West is a great location to stay when visiting Yosemite National Park.
Situated inside the park gates allowed for a short 20 min drive to the valley information centre.

Needs improvement
While the location and property itself were good, the actual logistics of the property need improvement to avoid feeling like another run of the mill short term rental mill. The upstairs door to the balcony didn’t close and the owner simply referred to the management phone number to report the issue, yet no one answered the phone number the entire stay. Also, no wi fi in the house, while clearly mentioned, harkens back to the 1990’s. It’s time to upgrade.
Overall, the rental is fine. Great property / location, but don’t expect over the top service or focus from a run of the mill property management company- run short term rental.
Kildrummy was easily made our home for the weekend. The spaciousness of the home allowed for ample room. We had everything we needed—including a break from Wi-Fi!! Thank you so much
Well located to access Yosemite and glacier peak specifically. Kids were very excited on entry to property which is testament to its excellence. Looks bigger than pictures suggest
The home is beautiful and had everything you would need. We will definitely stay here again!

A gorgeous home--the perfect getaway
We loved Kildrummy. The location is perfect and 25 minutes from the valley floor--
The cabin is perfectly appointed with just the right amount of comfortable furnishings to keep the focus on the beautiful A frame windows to the world and the fireplace.
Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were perfectly set in stone of Yosemite environs. This cabin is a very special place to explore Yosemite.
Gas fireplace gives off great heat as well as the central heating makes the cabin cozy--we did not use the media loft upstairs or any of the rooms downstairs but the main floor was very cozy.
Enough things in the kitchen to cook simple meals--the silverware could be updated but certainly usable as is. Bring all of your own spices and saran wraps/foils etc as there are only paper towels and tea bags/sugar packets and hot cocoa on hand. There were coffee filters and the coffee pot was a good one!
The stars at night are absolutely magical---like twinkly Christmas lights a million times over.
We loved it and hope to return.

Incredible house, great for families
This house is amazing! Lots of space, big kitchen, large dining table for family meals, gorgeous views. The upstairs movie room was great entertainment for our kids, while the parents enjoyed the sunsets on the deck in the evening. The house was equipped with everything you could need. The bunk beds were great for the kids, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is very close to Glacier Point and close driving to the valley so we were able to enjoy the park easily. We will definitely be back and I have recommended this house to our friends! Thank you!
