About this property
River View A-Frame Cabin in Yosemite National Park
Riverview is a beautiful, wooden, two-story, A-Frame cabin, with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the South Fork of the Merced River. The open plan living and dining area includes gorgeous floor to ceiling glass and a Fireplace. Major remodeling to the kitchen completed on Feb. 15, 2022. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a master suite, this charming cabin accommodates families and groups. Extra sleeping is available in the loft. Nestled in the quaint village of Wawona inside Yosemite National Park, Riverview cabin allows for the full Yosemite National Park experience. For 2024 you will not need a reservation to enter the Park when you are staying at my cabin which is inside the Park.
Yosemite National Park will require advanced reservations to get in for most dates in 2024, which can be difficult to get. But for 2024 reservations are required when you are not staying at a cabin inside the Park. You must still pay the vehicle pass to get in ($35).
Feel free to email me any questions you may have, whether you rented this cabin in the past or if it is your first time. I have been renting on VRBO for 20 years in Wawona.

This was a wonderful place to stay for our family trip to Yosemite. Plenty of room, nice kitchen and bathrooms, wonderful location with a great view and proximity to the river / swimming hole. Could use a little better cleaning in our experience, but overall we enjoyed our stay!
Worth it for being inside Yosemite and closer to the valley! Lots of towels, nice kitchen for cooking, room for a family to spread out and have your own space. The swimming hole was fun after a long hot day of hiking! Definitely a highlight for the kids.
This was the perfect place for our family. It was clean and just as advertised. The location was great. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms - both clean and modern. Beds were comfortable. We had more than enough space. I highly recommend!
The location is beautiful. It is so perfect for quick access to Yosemite, yet outside of the fast pace of the Yosemite national Park housing. The cabin has everything you need for your stay. we would definitely recommend this location!
We had a nice stay overlooking the river at this great home base for exploring Yosemite. We enjoyed staying in the park, and the home was well provisioned and so nicely settled among the trees with a great porch for enjoying the outdoors. It was quiet at night, clean, and cozy. I am a retired ecologist so will have to come back for more park trekking and time by the river (and with all the science books in the loft!)
We went to Yosemite for my niece's wedding at Bridal Veil Falls. The cabin was close to where we needed to go. Loved the place. The view of the river from the cabins outside deck was amazing!Susan was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this place
Great place! Lovely view of the river in a quiet residential part of the park. Would recommend bringing your own towels. Make sure to buy paper products, etc because they are not provided.

I am sorry that you did not find the cabin property stocked with paper products. Normally the cleaning crew leave extra of everything you might use. From toilet paper, paper towels, soaps for sinks, shower, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap. Sorry you didn't contact me or the property management and they could have taken some over to you. As for towels, besides all the towels hanging in the bathroom, there are many more in the closet. I am looking into what happened. Susan
When you pull up, the cabin looks older, and it is surrounded by other, mostly smaller, cabins. We weren't sure what to expect, but the interior is very nice with a modern kitchen, beautiful views from the deck and living room, and comfy beds. Also, even with the proximity of the other cabins, we had plenty of privacy and no noise other than the river that flows near the deck, which is a great place to hang out. The house is inside of Yosemite right near the Mariposa Grove of Sequoias, This is a big win because, other than when you first arrive, you do not have to wait on the often huge lines to get in the park. It's a time and hassle saver. The management company was non-responsive to a small problem we had, but a call to the owner put it right very quickly. She was friendly, responsive, and easy to deal with.Overall we were very happy with our stay.
The cabin was clean and beautiful. We love that there’s a river rock few steps away. Amenities are good except you have to buy your own toilet paper after using the half roll.

Glad you found the cabin clean and beautiful. Management had new cleaning ladies. Sorry they did not leave extra toilet paper. I guess they were not instructed about leaving plenty of toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap. I dont think this will happen again.
Such a perfect location in Wawona, walking distance to the adorable little market and a quick drive into the valley. Everything we could have needed was provided and the space was very clean and tidy. Group of 6 of us were more than comfortable and loved coming home to the cabin to unwind after our exploring!
The cabin was absolutely stunning. Beautiful, clean, well stocked with games, books, coffee, etc. Beds were very comfortable. Cant say enough ho wmuch we enjoed this cabin.
Great authentic cabin in a lovely position. Very relaxing and comfortable, everything we needed including a much appreciated welcome pack of a few goodies
We did not have a pleasant stay here. The sheets in the 2nd floor bedroom were dirty, with obvious sweat stains, so I had to wash the sheets before going to bed. The upstairs shower had wads of hair on the floor. Floors were dirty, including a painted red fingernail on the kitchen floor. The cabin was very warm, especially on the top floor. The problem with opening the windows was all the spider webs and of course spiders that came in when the windows were open. It didn't look as though the windows and screens had been cleaned in months. We tried to call maintenance number when we arrived but couldn't get an answer. Unable to leave a voicemail due to a full mailbox. I was able to get an answer when calling the owners number and they were very polite and seemed willing to help, with an offer to provide fans yet when I mentioned that the downstsirs bedroom was missing the remote for the fan so we couldnt turn it on and I asked for a fan to help cool the bedroom, there was no response after that. No fan as promised and no response. I thought it we should have received a refund of the 250 cleaning fee given the dirty condition. They refused. I reached out to VRBO to help with this and ended up with a 200 credit. The reason given for not refunding the entire amount was that we left the kitchen dirty. Yet we left no dirty dishes wiped down counters and all trash was left in the bins except for 2 empty water jugs and a brown paper bag for recycle. Photo for reference.

I am very surprised by this review. I see I have 260 reviews with a 9.8 rating. I think this particular guest was very upset when she discovered that there is no a/c in the cabin. She mistakenly thought that a/c was advertised and It was not. She implied that I changed the add to remove the a/c and deceive her which of course is untrue.
I did feel badly that she was unhappy and so I asked the cleaning staff to return and address her concerns, but she turned them away. She was only there for 2 nights and it is a shame she did not enjoy her stay.
Gorgeous home with ample supplies for everything we needed in the kitchen and throughout the house. Beautiful decor and plenty of space for our family. We loved the location on the river and spent a lot of time outside on the porch. Loved everything about this house and will definitely stay again!
We’ve stayed here many times and we still love this home Check in was easy and the home was ready at 4:00. The kitchen was nicely stocked. We enjoyed our stay.

I am a third generation farmer near Fresno. We grow grapes, almonds and pistachios. I have had a love for the mountains ever since i was young. I spend a lot of time water skiing with my husband. We spend a lot of the winter in Costa Rica water skiing. My sister and i just purchased this cabin together in 2017. We have had 2 other cabins before this one. We were excited to purchase a A-Frame cabin near the river. Something about hearing the river running that you cant get in very many cabins here. Hope you will enjoy this new cabin as much as we are looking forward to time up at the cabin
Why they chose this property
We have had a cabin in Wawona for the last 25 years. Always wanted a A-Frame near the river. There is not much of a turn over of cabins in Wawona. Most are held in the family for generations. There are really very few cabins inside Yosemite National Park. So when this one came available, we just bought it Nov. 2017.
What makes this property unique
Walk down to the river. Great swimming place right close to the cabin. Nice large deck that is in the shade. Enjoy seeing the river from the cabin and mostly hearing the river running from the cabin.
