Charming Newer Cabin In Yosemite Sleeps 6 - Close To River and Pet Friendly

This two bedroom, two bath house sleeps up to a maximum of six guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with all dining and cooking needs. The living area has a flat screen TV with local and national channels and Dish Network. The deck has a BBQ, picnic table, and outdoor furniture.

Wawona is inside Yosemite National Park, near the south entrance, Highway 41, and near the Mariposa Grove. Enjoy swimming holes in the South Fork of the Merced River which is right down the road, hiking to Chilnualna Falls, the historic Wawona Hotel and golf course, Wawona stables, and Swinging Bridge.

Wawona is an hour drive to the Yosemite Valley attractions.

Guests are not required to make park reservations while staying in the park.

Perfect cabin in Yosemite

Wonderful neighbors, great little store with its oh so friendly “owner” Sam (the cat)…all in all it was just perfect for the four of us.

Lovely cabin inside Yosemite

We were here for 5 days for Spring break with our small terrier. 4 adults. Never been to this location - south - very close to Mariposa Grove. Loved it. Walk to nearby river. Well stocked kitchen. Warm cabin. park right outside. The owners very communicative. Wifi worked and I was able to communicate with my staff in Los Angeles. Don't line up outside the park to get in.. stay IN the park. My daughter turned 21 during the stay and we drove 40 mins to Elderberry house in Oakhurst for a wonderful 5 star dinner. Was manageable.

Comfort and Color in Yosemite

Autumn color was a highlight of our early November visit. Clouds Rest offered a comfortable retreat to restore ourselves each day. It was great to have a well stocked kitchen and nearby friendly grocer for ingredients.

Location location location

We came in from Arizona and met our friends from Colorado here. What a welcoming feeling. Plenty of room for us well equipped with lots of pots pans silverware… everything and more that you need. A cute market a quick walk down the street for anything you might need Great hiking right in the neighborhood too! The host was so welcoming and knowledgeable about Yosemite We had a wonderful time

Great stay in Yosemite

We had a great three night stay in Yosemite in this charming property. While it might be difficult to find, it is certainly worth the time. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the bathrooms were clean and had every amenity you might want. We did have a little trouble with the Wi-Fi, but the owners were very prompt and getting it resolved. It’s always great to be inside the park and not waiting in line!

Although we did not do much cooking the kitchen was well equipped with dishes, cookware and any utensil you could imagine. Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood was very quiet.

This cabin was perfect❣️So homy and comfortable 😊we slept with windows open and it was very comfortable. Great being inside the park and having no lines to wait in🙏My dad is 85 and he didn’t miss anything. Stayed 6 nights and we used every minute to explore. Thank you mary❣️

Efficient Cozy Cabin

Terrific location just inside Hwy 41 entrance. Assessable to YART which runs to Yosemite Valley. We did not stay long enough.

Your home was beautiful, clean and very welcoming. The decorations were adorable. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The only issue we had was the cellphone service. We contacted Jeff twice and he was very helpful and pleasant. But the cellphone service we were told was with A A&T.

Peaceful retreat

Long weekend getaway for my sister and I. We love this cabin. Well equipped and the deck is perfect for afternoon snacks, beverages and lots of cribbage. We will be back again next year.

Though great layout in general, the beds seemed to be doubles and not queens? Aside from that, the cabin was clean, fresh and had very adequate kitchen supplies along with plenty of towels. Love it!

Great cabin in great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very nice, clean, and in a great location. A couple of window a/c units in the bedrooms would've been nice. Over all, wonderful place.

Cute Cabin in a great location

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The location was absolutely perfect. The kids enjoyed play outside and going down to the river. Our only wish was that there was another a/c unit as the bedrooms was sweltering hot at night which made it difficult to sleep. Another suggestion would be to leave a cabinet in the kitchen open so guests have a place to put their dry good groceries. We were there for 4 days and had to keep moving our grocery bags around the counter in order to have room to cook. Aside from that if we needed a place to stay within the park boundaries we would consider staying here again.

Awesome getaway!

This was my third trip to Yosemite with my dog Lucy. I so enjoyed my time at Clouds Rest cabin in the Redwoods in Wawona. Thank you, Mary and Geoff for sharing your cozy cabin. I so enjoyed hiking Yosemite during the day and relaxing at night in the peace and quiet of the cabin. What a wonderful getaway! Thank you!

I have been coming to Yosemite since childhood and dreamed of someday owning a cabin in Wawona. As a native Californian, we visited Yosemite often as a family. My family hiked, rafted, and spent time together in this magnificent wonderland.

Why they chose this property

We chose this location due to the close proximity to the South Fork of the Merced River. In the Spring, you can hear the river and enjoy the seasonal stream. There are oaks and pines on the property and the location is perfect for relaxing on the deck.

What makes this property unique

The peacefulness of this location and the charm of the cabin makes one feel right at home.
