This two bedroom, two bath house sleeps up to a maximum of six guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with all dining and cooking needs. The living area has a flat screen TV with guest account streaming service. The deck has a picnic table and outdoor furniture.

Wawona is inside Yosemite National Park, near the south entrance, Highway 41, and near the Mariposa Grove. Enjoy swimming holes in the South Fork of the Merced River which is right down the road, hiking to Chilnualna Falls, the historic Wawona Hotel and golf course, Wawona stables, and Swinging Bridge.

Wawona is an hour drive to the Yosemite Valley attractions.

Guests are not required to make park reservations while staying in the park.

Peaceful

Annual trip to the May’s cabin. It’s nice and quiet, allowing for much needed decompression from hectic life. We were pleased to see the new stove/oven and dishwasher. The window A/C in the master was a nice bonus upgrade as well. See you next year.

Total cabin snob here, and I have to say that I was over the top happy with everything this cabin had to offer. Clean, great AC, comfy beds, well stocked, perfect for traveling with dogs, and great location! Only suggestion is to bring floaters with you for the creek which is just down the street!

Cozy and Comfortable-Perfect Family Getaway!

The vibe at this cabin was so comfortable! It is nestled in a quiet beautiful neighborhood that we loved to take our dog for walks in each morning. We loved the wood burning fireplace, especially when it started to snow!

Terrific location just inside Hwy 41 entrance. Assessable to YART which runs to Yosemite Valley. We did not stay long enough.

Although we did not do much cooking the kitchen was well equipped with dishes, cookware and any utensil you could imagine. Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood was very quiet.

Great Family Stay

I had a great stay with my husband & toddler. It was so nice to come back to the cabin & have space to spread out and let my daughter play, and to have a full kitchen to cook dinner in. We really appreciated having lodging inside the park so that we didn’t have to deal with the entrance gate each day, and it was totally worth the drive into & out of the valley each day for the extra space in the mornings & evenings vs staying in a hotel in the valley. It was quiet, comfortable, and overall a relaxing stay.

Your home was beautiful, clean and very welcoming. The decorations were adorable. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The only issue we had was the cellphone service. We contacted Jeff twice and he was very helpful and pleasant. But the cellphone service we were told was with A A&T.

Though great layout in general, the beds seemed to be doubles and not queens? Aside from that, the cabin was clean, fresh and had very adequate kitchen supplies along with plenty of towels. Love it!

Fabulous Yosemite Retreat!

Such a beautiful & well-appointed home made us all feel like we were at home! Beds were very comfortable (our 16-year-old loved the hide-a-bed couch), great sitting areas inside and outside, wonderful kitchen to make dinner in along with the terrific gas grill! Bonus points: Inside the Park, walking distance to small market and short drive to Giant Sequoias and the Valley Floor! High recommend!

Delightful

My husband and I brought our college age grandson to visit Yosemite, a wonderful visit enhanced by our stay at Clouds Rest. We arrived the day after the recent blizzard unsure if we could get to the Park. Mary kept us up to date on conditions and when we arrived, we found the driveway cleared and the lights on. The cabin was clean, well stocked in the kitchen and throughout, comfortable and cozy.

Magical Yosemite Getaway

I brought my granddaughter for her first visit to Yosemite. I’m grateful that our stay was at this beautiful and beautifully kept home. Everything was clean and the instructions for all the house features were clear and simple to understand. It was a wonderful time for us all. This is a Lovely home, and it’s located within Yosemite which made Valley access simple.

One night stay for a shot trip. I’m a Central Valley resident. I had some issues with VRBO on my account and property management was fast to answer and stay in communication with me. Very nice and gave some helpful information about near by trails and what to expect this 2023 season. Home was very clean. Kitchen supper equipped.

Wonderful stay

My family of 4 and our 2 pups enjoyed our stay at this home in Wawona very much. The location was perfect. You can walk down to the river which is at the end of the street. There is a little store that you can walk to as well, where you can buy essential items. The home itself was about 50 minutes for the Valley, and since it is inside the park, no waiting in a line to get into the park each day. Mariposa Grove is only about 15 minutes from the house as well. The home was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. The beds were comfy and we slept well. There is not a central AC in this home, but the home owner did provide fans for every bedroom and there was a plug in AC unit for the living area. We would stay here again if we were to visit Yosemite again.

In the Yosemite park

This home was just right for our son and his wife , plus my husband and me. The kitchen was very well stocked. We were so happy to get a home inside of the park. We stayed 3 nights ( Wednesday arrival, Saturday departure ). As we left this morning a little before 10:00, the line of cars waiting to enter the park was almost all the way to Fish Camp!!!! We figured the 2 gates would take over 2 hours for lots of the cars to get through. We are so glad to have found this little jem!

Very quiet cabin in ideal location

This cabin comes pretty much as advertised. The common space is a bit roomier than it appears from the photos, so that's a plus. Things generally were functional, and clean. The kitchen is generally well equipped. The cabin is on a side road off of a side road, so it's a VERY quiet location. There is essentially no car noise, and pretty much all you hear outside is the wind in the trees and the birds. It's a short walk to the Merced River, and if you are up for a challenging hike, it's very close to the Chilnualna Falls trailhead. Also, it has quite functional internet, and Netflix and some other services as well for your post outdoors hibernation! Three small things that the owners could do to improve it. First, therefrigerator runs almost constantly. There's probably something wrong with it, and it's probably eating kilowatt hours! It's also somewhat noisy, and detracts from the otherwise wonderful quiet of the surroundings. Second, similar to other places that I've stayed, the (plentiful) knives are mostly quite dull. I'd recommend periodic professional sharpenings, and making a steel available for renters as well. Dull knives are more dangerous than sharp ones! Also, similar to other places, much of the cookware is "non-stick" with very beat up surfaces. Not only is the cookware no longer non-stick, but I suspect that the surface coating may be releasing into food. I'd recommend that the owners switch to simple stainless steel cookware, which is highly durable.

I have been coming to Yosemite since childhood and dreamed of someday owning a cabin in Wawona. As a native Californian, we visited Yosemite often as a family. My family hiked, rafted, and spent time together in this magnificent wonderland.

Why they chose this property

We chose this location due to the close proximity to the South Fork of the Merced River. In the Spring, you can hear the river and enjoy the seasonal stream. There are oaks and pines on the property and the location is perfect for relaxing on the deck.

What makes this property unique

The peacefulness of this location and the charm of the cabin makes one feel right at home.

For pet owners, there is a small fenced area for your dog to roam.
