Enjoy the stunning sea views from the large, north facing, sun-drenched deck.

Generously equipped kitchen complete with Smeg dishwasher and microwave and Fisher and Paykel fridge. This spacious well equipped kitchen has a large selection of appliances for a cook up for friends or family where you can look out to the ocean while preparing your meals. The family room upstairs (with large TV) is adjacent to the super-sized covered deck, equipped with a Weber Q and hammock and a 10-seater BBQ table and chairs.

A spacious bathroom upstairs invites you to enjoy a soaking bath; downstairs is another bathroom and laundry as well as another family room with an additional TV.

We ensure our property is stocked with coffee capsules, toilet paper and basic laundry and kitchen supplies. This property is provided with all linen and towels, on request, ($200 per stay) but we do ask guests to bring their own beach towels.

At Whale Watch the ocean is close enough for you to hear the sea or smell the salt air.

Each year in late winter and spring, the waters off Eurobodalla's coastline become a busy place for humpback whales heading south from their northern breeding grounds to enjoy feeding in the Antarctic Ocean - many of our guests have experienced the beautiful sight of these whales from our expansive deck.

Opposite Whale Watch is a walkway to the clifftop - perfect for walking along to either the patrolled Malua Bay beach or beautiful McKenzie's Beach.

Ideal holiday home

The layout and inclusions in this property suited us very well. We enjoyed having our meals on the balcony with views of the sea and the short cliff walk to the beach. The house proved perfect when our daughters and granddaughters visited us for a couple of days and enjoyed surfing and snorkelling nearby. We hope to stay again at this delightful house.

Lovely house, fabulous stay

Stayed at Whale Watch again after many years away and what a pleasure! Anne's house is really comfortable, well-equipped and beautifully clean. It has plenty of lovely indoor and outdoor spaces (the deck is fantastic) so everyone could find a quiet place to relax. Great kitchen - we found everything we needed to make meals easy. And so close to our favourite beach! Thanks.

Great house in Malua Bay

Loved the house but it was just a pity it rained the entire time we were there. Despite this the house was a great spot to stay regardless of the weather. Would def recommend.

This house has it all: views, location and style, without being 'over the top'. Yes, you can see the water from the expansive deck, and yes, you can actually walk to the beach. It's also peaceful. Great value for money.

A lovely holiday stay

This is the second time that we have stayed at Whale Watch. The house is very spacious, clean and well maintained. It's only a short walking distance to the patrolled Malua Bay beach. The ocean view from the huge deck upstairs is fantastic! The kitchen is very well equipped with utensils, cookware, dinnerware, Nespresso coffee machine etc. Anne is super responsive and very easy to communicate with. Fabulous stay

Stayed with family and some friends with our toddlers and had a wonderful stay. It was great to sit on the deck to have brekkie and walk to the beach which was close-by.

A great choice

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whale Watch. Beautiful views from the spacious deck, a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds made for an excellent home away from home. We had a very relaxing time, even when some days were not as sunny as others. Highly recommended!

Lovely spot and house

We had a great time in this lovely home in a convenient location. There is a great view of the sea from the deck. There are three great beaches within walking distance and even our 4 yr old could manage the walk most days. The upstairs is very new and super comfy, but the downstairs has a few signs of wear and tear and the rooms are a bit small and so is the downstairs bathroom. There is no dryer which is great for the environment but annoying when you can’t dry beach towels on overcast days. These are all minor things and I would still totally recommend this property but this is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. And because the beaches are a bit further away than other properties we’ve had in the past.

What a view with an ocean breeze

I want to live here

From the moment you see the view from the kitchen window you are hooked. The house is lovely with all the creature comforts. Beds are comfy. Living areas areas are functional and comfortable. Love the leather lounge. BBQ on the large verandah is wonderful. Excellent location for beaches and the IGA. The club around the corner has the best Chinese. This house has the whole package for a relaxing break from the everyday.

Spent a couple of nights down there with the family, including my 2 year old son. They house was nice and clean and had a lovely outlook from the deck. It was robust enough to handle my boy and the local beaches were excellent (particularly the inlet at broulee)

Fantastic!

Thanks for a great place to stay, even better this time after the fantastic renovation. Thoroughly enjoyed the spacious, new kitchen and the beautiful deck where we spent lots of enjoyable meal times. Once again, the house was spotless and had everything we needed. I was born in Canberra but spent many childhood holidays at the South Coast. Swimming, surfing, fishing and meeting up with the many aunts, uncles and cousins, was a frequent event. Playing cricket at the Malua Bay park, eating fish and chips on the beach and relaxing in the evening to the sound of the surf!

Why they chose this property

Whale Watch is located close to the beach and is opposite a cliff-top walk which I always find just beautiful, no matter what the weather is like.
The house has a comfortable feel and has enough space for two families with a spacious carpeted family room on the ground floor for kids to play or watch TV while there's a comfy loungeroom upstairs - both areas have beautiful views of the ocean.

What makes this property unique

The house has been furnished to accommodate a family - its close enough to walk to Malua Bay main beach or the beautiful McKenzie's beach; or you can relax on the spacious deck with a book or cook in the very well stocked kitchen - these include dishwasher, mix master, blender, coffee machine, sandwich maker, soda stream. The WeberQ on the deck is perfect to sit and enjoy the views and just relax!
