About this property
BEAUTIFUL BALI VIEW, PACIFIC PALMS - Peaceful, Private and Pet Friendly!!
***After a three-year hiatus due to bushfire damage in December 2019, Bali View is finally back and available for the enjoyment of our guests!!***
SET ON 25 ACRES AND WITH NO IMMEDIATE NEIGHBOURS OR ROAD FRONTAGES, "BALI VIEW" IS ONE OF ONLY A SELECT FEW HOLIDAY RENTAL PROPERTIES IN THE PACIFIC PALMS AREA THAT OFFER ACCOMMODATION OF SUCH A HIGH STANDARD WITHIN A COMPLETELY PRIVATE ENVIRONMENT.
SO IF YOUR'E LOOKING FOR A QUIETER AND MORE INTIMATE HOLIDAY SETTING THAT IS CENTRAL TO ALL LOCAL BEACHES AND ATTRACTIONS, THEN "BALI VIEW" IS FOR YOU!!!
BALI VIEW - A Balinese inspired retreat in a peaceful and private bushland setting with immediate lake and mountain views, and furnished in the traditional Indonesian style.
This unique two bedroom house sits on an elevated lakeside property of 25 acres with a sunny north-easterly aspect and comprises two building pavilions with high raked ceilings and exposed beams connected by a covered breezeway and surrounded by covered verandahs and a large open deck area set amongst surrounding tree tops.
The main living pavilion comprises an open-plan living/lounge, dining and kitchen area (the kitchen with Caesar stone benchtops, quality brand name appliances and an indoor/outdoor servery bar), a bathroom and the smaller of the two bedrooms accommodated. A large, single bed-sized day bed, which converts to a queen size bed, with drawers, is also provided within the living space of this pavilion, with a further chest of drawers located next to the day bed. The open-plan living area of the living pavilion opens onto a covered verandah area via concertina doors.
The second pavilion comprises the main bedroom with full-height glazing showcasing the elevated north easterly outlook along with a luxuriously appointed ensuite bathroom with natural concrete stepping stones set amidst loose river stone pebbles, a walk-in robe, deep freestanding bath, and indoor/outdoor shower recesses. The ensuite bathroom was featured in the 2008 Winter edition of COAST LIVING lifestyle magazine (Page 120/Photo 9).
Natural (rough-hewn) cypress pine logs form the supporting posts to the covered verandah and breezeway areas of the building with stainless steel wire balustrading to maximize the pleasant north easterly outlook from the elevated verandah and deck areas of the house.
The house contains quality inclusions: Asko dishwasher, Ilve freestanding gas stove/electric oven, full-size Fisher and Paykel refrigerator, a 65 inch UHD Smart TV, radio/CD player, DVD player and a large 6-8 seat dining table. Outdoor facilities include a four-burner gas BBQ with a hood and side burner, an outdoor dining setting for 6 people, and two sun lounges with cushions. Books, magazines and board games are also provided.
The house sleeps up to a maximum 6 persons and is most suitable as an intimate setting for one or two couples, or for a family of two adults with up to four children, or two couples and two children. There is a queen bed in each of the two bedrooms, and a daybed (with both an in-built and separate adjoining chest of drawers) in the lounge/living area which converts from a single bed to a queen bed when extended.
A holiday retreat with a difference which combines all modern conveniences within a luxurious, peaceful and private lakeside bushland setting.
***Please note that the property is not fenced and there is a small open pond located some 50 metres to the rear of the house which is required for bushfire fighting purposes.
For this reason, we ask that guests ensure their children don't venture beyond the large cleared area of the land surrounding the house unattended.
Also, the property next door to the left of the house is a wildlife sanctuary caring for injured wildlife (mainly wallabies). If you do own a dog or cat, please ensure that your pet is not permitted to roam unrestrained around the property.
If you intend to stay at Bali View with your pet, it is important that you advise us at the time of your accommodation enquiry. Please indicate the age, number and breed of your pet/s in the 'comments' section of your enquiry. We thank you in advance for your co-operation***.
For your added security, this property "Bali View" is only managed in Australia and we never request payments be made to overseas bank accounts

About the host
Hosted by Steven and Chantal

My wife and I are a middle aged couple with one son living in Sydney. We are both fortunate enough to work from home in our respective professions but sometimes feel the need to escape to the more tranquil and peaceful abode that is Bali View where we can take time out and immerse ourselves in the natural wonder and beauty of the local area. As a keen surfer, kayaker and fisherman, the area is a veritable playground for these types of activities, and without the crowds.
Why they chose this property
When we purchased this property, we were looking for a location that was quiet and peaceful and naturally beautiful while also accommodating our interest in water sports and activities, but not too far from Sydney. This property and the local area fit the bill. The property was purchased as a virgin block of 25 acres enjoying a north-easterly aspect onto Tarbuck Bay, Smiths Lake. Local builders were engaged to construct the house that is now affectionately known as Bali View.
What makes this property unique
What we like most about Bali View is its quiet, private and peaceful elevated north-easterly aspect and position amongst the surrounding treetops, its views over Tarbuck Bay, Smiths Lake to the mountain ridgeline beyond, and its central location and proximity to the local beaches, lakes and national parks.
The house itself, with its open floor plan and high cathedral ceilings, breathes very well, and has a certain tranquillity and ambience that is difficult to define without experiencing it for yourself. Many of the reviews we receive are a testament to this.
The house has a practical and open, yet compact floor plan that is suitable for both families and couples alike. The outdoor shower is just a gem and it is something which many of our guests comment upon in their reviews.
The house is also environmentally sustainable in its design, being of predominantly timber construction, with an open and practical yet compact floor plan, and with its own static water supply. We are also looking into the potential of solar power generation for the house, so that it can function almost entirely off-grid to further minimise the house's carbon footprint.
