Sakari's Sanctuary - Tuncurry NSW Pet Friendly house

Located in beautiful Tuncurry, this three bed room pet friendly house has a large fully fenced yard with ample room to park your boat and cars.
This quaint three bedroom accommodation is named after our Siberian Husky, Sakari. (Sakari is the Inuit word for sweet).

Located close to the beautiful Wallis Lake and two minutes drive to the Tuncurry boat ramp, It is within walking distance to great restaurants such as Thirty Three Degrees Restaurant, The Deck and Rockpool cafes.

The house has lovely walks to either Wallis Lake or the Tuncurry channel. Venture across the Tuncurry-Forster bridge to the quirky little township of Forster. Here you will find more great Restaurants such as The Sicilian, Spice Monkey, Si Senorita and Isola Riva, Dragon Den and Tartt Cafe

A two minute walk to the local Woolworths and BWS ,this house is central to all that is available in Tuncurry including the local cinema.
The house includes a BBQ area and a lovely deck so you can relax and enjoy your holiday with the family after your day of swimming , boating or shopping .

Inside the house you have all the facilities of a family home including TV, videos and internet.

Positioned on a large level block in a great Tuncurry area, this home is ideal for a holiday escape.

Offering generous living spaces both inside and out.
There is a large lounge room upon entry. This area is complete with an Air-conditioner to keep you cool in Summer.

This zone leads to the tidy & practical kitchen that features quality stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, cooktop and wall oven with a separate grill. There is ample bench space that services the adjoining dining and family area.

There are three good-sized bedrooms in the home. The master bedroom offers separation from the remaining rooms, external access to the deck and a walk-in robe and private ensuite. The additional rooms feature built in wardrobes and are serviced by an open plan family bathroom. As an added bonus there is a third toilet in the sizeable laundry.

A highlight of this home is the deck and second BBQ area that both overlook the expansive, level front yard. These spaces are ideal to entertain the family.

Relaxing stay with everything we needed

We had the best stay at Sakari's Sanctuary. The home had everything we needed for our family and of course our dog. Cathie thought of everything, and made our trip so special! Cant wait to visit again!

The best dog friendly place ever!

Sakari's isnt just dog friendly, Cathie loves dogs and it shows in her hospitality for them and their owners. This place is comfortable, safe for your furry family and really well located. Cathie makes sure you (and your fur family) are comfortable on arrival with treats and all the basics. Well equipped for all of you (dog bowls, dog towels as well as all that stuff for human visitors!). Comfort and value.

Cathie is an awesome host and she made the whole process easy from the time of booking. Very convenient location, nice space and amazing treats/toys for our Dog. Only wish we had was if it had a pool or SPA - that would make it even better :)

The space was clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for us and our fur babies.The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet conveniently close to local attractions, shops, and dining. Home away from Home

Sakari's Sanctuary is everything you could want for your family and pets.. Easy check-in directions, the most welcome feeling upon arrival, with personal touches everywhere. We arrived and had breakfast supplied with fresh free range eggs and milk in the fridge. The pantry was stocked full of condiments and necessities to start your stay. Cathie goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable with so many additional items included, that its like staying in a family relatives home. The house is super clean and has a generous backyard for the pets to roam freely. A fantastic outdoor deck and bar-b-que area also.Location is perfect. Set back a 5 min walk from the main street of town, we had the quiteness that we were after, and were able to leave the car parked most of the time.This place ticked all the boxes for our family and new dog. Lovely dog friendly house with all the amenities you need. Humans taken care of and the furball was taken care of with dog beds, blankets and more. The house was spotless, today and the garden for the dog to play was lovely.

Thank you Cathie .. Sakari’s Sanctuary is a beautiful holiday home for both two and four legged visitors. Everything needed for an enjoyable stay was provided. Beds were very comfortable, the house was extremely clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The milk and eggs supplied on our arrival were very appreciated. The personal welcome to all of us .. including Benny was a lovely touch. Thank you for the gifts you left for us. Benny is still playing with his knitted toy koala.Would love to return in summer with my Grandsons

Fabulous

Ours was a return trip and it was just as fabulous as the first time. Cathie attends to all of the standard provisions with a degree of excellence that is simply the best and.... then adds so many wonderful extras..... from provisions for our fur babies through to carefully selected wine with matched cheese and chocolates! Fantastic holiday location

We returned with our 2 friends and their dog , for a second time this year . We just love our accommodation and the quiet location, closeness to supermarket and restaurants, co op, all easy walking distance to the house. We met lots of lovely locals and their dogs on our daily walkies with our Dalmatian Zac. Not busy time of the year as it was not school holidays so, very easy to visit and enjoy restaurants and browse the shopping centre in Forster. Our dogs loved the beach walks and the backyard is perfect, very well fenced for larger dogs. Cathie is an excellent host ,communicator and a very kind generous person. We look forward to staying at Sakari’s Sanctuary again in 2024.

Sakira's Sanctuary is wow! wow! wow! Cathie is an amazing host and it is evident that she puts an enormous amount of effort into creating a welcoming space for those who stay. Just perfect

We had a perfect stay from start to finish. Cathie is a wonderful host. All the little touches were very much appreciated - chocolates, jam, milk, eggs and bubbly for the humans and toys, beds, treats and poop bags for the canine visitors. Also lots of useful suggestions about where to go and what to do in the area. The house itself is absolutely lovely. Our dog especially loved the fully fenced garden and having no street frontage meant he couldn't see anyone walking past, so it was nice and relaxing for all of us! I highly recommend Sakari's Sanctuary and will definitely stay there again if we are back in the area. Thank you Cathie!

Best holiday ever

Sakari's sanctuary was just that! A sanctuary! Cathie and Sakari made us feel so welcome. The house was comfortable, clean and most importantly very homely. Even our four-legged family member was treated like royalty! The location was great for access to the shops and beaches, both in Forster and Tuncurry. Nine mile beach is the most beautiful dog friendly beach we have been too! Cathie also provided pet friendly options for restaurants and cafe! I would highly recommend this holiday home to my friends and family and hopefully we will be returning again in the not too distant future! Thanks Cathie, for the best holiday ever!!!

Super Dog friendly

Our one week holiday at Sakari’s sanctuary was fantastic. The home was very clean and well equipped ,with plenty of kitchen items. The home was well located , in a very quiet area , esp at night. There were also special surprises which made our stay very comfortable for 4 adults and 2 dogs. We could walk our dogs around the waterfront ,tracks and nine mile beach conveniently located. Thai restaurant in Forster was very good also the wood fired pizza next door. The owner of the home, Cathie was extremely helpful with answering any questions and was always contactable via text or phone. The yard was excellent for our medium sized dogs with colour-bond fencing making it very secure. Best pet friendly accommodation we have ever stayed in and will be hard to beat.10/10

Fabulous

Cathie is a wonderful and generous host; super responsive, courteous, thoughtful and kind. There were so many little extras she provided to make our stay super comfortable and special (including a lovely birthday acknowledgement/gift and welcome notes for all guests) A huge bonus was accommodation for the family dogs. The provisions made for them is simply in a class of it's own. The house is beautiful, low maintenance for guests (but clearly very much maintained by the owner) with all modern cons. Backyard/sideyard is perfect for relaxing evening meals/family ball games and conversation into the night. Location is flat walking distance to everything and easy driving if visiting Forster is your preference. We will definitely return!

My husband, two girls (5 & 3) and I have truly enjoyed our stay at Sakari’s Sanctuary. Cathie’s attention to detail is amazing…we were greeted with wine, cheeses, chockies, hand made koalas and even dog treats for our two pups! The fridge was stocked with the basics and the beds were super comfy. Just beautiful. Our dogs absolutely loved hanging out on the deck and exploring the secured yard, as well as going for walks along the water.The home itself is quite private but still located close to the shops and the water. This place is perfect for young families! Thank you for making our trip so comfortable, Cathie. It was a home away from home for us

Perfect location in Tuncurry

We have stayed multiple times and each stay has been perfect in every way. Our host Cathie is a very generous, kind person who has taken care off all of our requests. The home is very dog friendly and in a fantastic location for walking dogs or shopping at Woolies. We look forward to our next stay .

Beautiful and clean vacation home

Our family of 5, plus dog, had a fantastic vacation in this wonderful home. The house is in a great location, close to everything, is well kept, comfortable and super clean. It has all the amenities you need for your stay. Definitely highly recommend!

My Husband and I love to travel both within Australia and Overseas.
When we travel within Australia we like to travel with our beautiful Siberian Husky Sakari.
We have often found it very difficult to find nice accommodation that is Dog friendly so we decided to purchase a property and make it quirky and fun so it would appeal to Dog and Cat lovers.
Sakari's Sanctuary will be constantly evolving as we purchased a blank canvas when we gained ownership on the 15th January 2021. From this date onwards we have been busy decorating, gardening and renovating.
We would love you to join us on the journey and hopefully we can establish permanent clients not only of the human kind but also of the canine and feline variety.
