A perfect stay surrounded by tranquility

We had an incredible stay! Ken, the host, was amazing—quick to respond to any of our needs and made sure everything was perfect for our visit.The property itself is a tranquil oasis, the ideal quiet spot to retreat and relax, while also being perfectly situated for venturing to Forster or Pacific Palms. We absolutely loved spending time at Boomerang Beach—it’s such a stunning spot!The place was fantastic for kids, with plenty of space downstairs for them to enjoy, including a pool table and canoes that were a big hit. It’s rare to find a place that ticks all the boxes for both relaxation and fun, but this one truly did.We can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Ken, for such a memorable stay!

Excellent

The house was lovely, it had a great outlook and LOTS of space. The kitchen had lots more appliances and cutlery, plates etc than I thought it would have. There were plenty of roomy bedrooms each with easy access to a bathroom. My only negative was that I thought that the beds were small, I'd swear they were doubles ... but then I'm used to sleeping on a king size. Having access to the kayaks extended the enjoyment out onto the shallow lake. The separate games and TV floor gave a bit more privacy if you wanted to retreat or just play some pool ! All up, a great house with generous features in a location close to the lake with a short drive into Forster shops.

Thoroughly enjoyed it!!

The Folly is a lovely, relaxed house in great surroundings. The facilities which included a pool table, games, table tennis table and dart board were fantastic especially with kids. The booking process and communication with Ken the host was all very easy. It's clean and tidy and has lots of space.

Everything you need

We were thrilled with the house and its location. And the house had so many basics and extras in the kitchen and bathrooms. There were games and movies and activities for the kids. We loved it!

Luxury family getaway

Nice family getaway which is close to Foster town centre but far away enough that you can unwind. Nice views of the lake with direct water access. Kids had a good time with games, cards and snooker table.

Beautiful house, peaceful location

We had a great stay at The Folly for Xmas 2014. Even with 5 adults and 3 kids there was plenty of room. The house is beautiful - great indoor and outdoor spaces, a fully equipped kitchen (including some pantry staples), a generous selection of books and DVDs and comfortable beds. Over the week we had a mix of weather - when it was warm the lake was calm and cool, and when it was rainy the pool table and DVDs got a workout. Not necessarily suitable for people with poor mobility. There are lots of stairs inside the house and down to the lake. Overall though, I'd strongly recommend The Folly - we'll certainly be back!

What a wonderful place for a relax. We loved the place, the view was wonderful, particularly the sunsets and we had great fun paddling in the kayaks, although the swans refused to let us come near them!A huge place, more than enough for all five of us and would easily accommodate eight. If you do visit, there is a wonderful cafe just down the road that serves a perfect, city-quality coffee and a wonderful mix of cakes - we didn't find it until almost too late.

Thank you Jane!!"What a fantastic place! Everything about it was perfect - specially beatifull candles for my wife, plenty of room and great location right on the water. We spent a weekend here with family and everyone just enjoyed it. We spent most of our time in the entertain room playing snooker watching moovies. 7 older adults stayed for the October long weekend. The property was clean, well-equipped and comfortable, with everything we needed. We provided our own bathroom linen and food and had a truly memorable time during the 3 nights we stayed. We thought the price was very reasonable and the owner was pleasant and efficient to deal with.
