Ann Arbor Guest House is located in the heart of Ann Arbor's Historic Kerrytown District. This exclusive and private residence is on the second floor of a approximately 170 year old home surrounded by antique perennials. We are across from Kerrytown Shops and Market and the famed Kerrytown Farmer's Market (open Wednesdays & Saturdays in season). The area is vibrant with life and activity. With the Kerrytown Concert House next door, classical and jazz music often escapes their confines and fills the Guest House! We renovated this Guesthouse in February 2018 after being open since 2003. At that time we upgraded new paint, new carpet, new bed, new draperies and window coverings, new kitchen appliances and more! The charm of this house keeps regulars, such as parents of kids at U of M or those coming for football weekends coming back. It becomes their home away from home. We have housed many professors for short and extended stays or couples come to escape their work-a-day world in search of a little peace and quiet from the kids and a night on the town. We lovingly call this our "Love Nest"!

The accomadation was very clean and cozy. Very comvenient to Kerrytown and downtown Ann Arbor. Much quieter than anticipated being in city center. Plenty of room for the two of us. Great location for visiting family and friends over the holidays.

The location was great. An easy walk to most places and nice to have Kerrytown market next door. It's an older building so there a quirks, but it was a perfect place to relax on my business trip. Very clean and had everything I needed.
Great location for anything downtown and in Kerrytown—with a parking spot! Overall, this charming spot worked nicely for my Ann Arbor-born and raised husband and I plus my mom to stay while we visited family for Thanksgiving. We wish the beds were a bit softer, especially the futon, but we managed just fine.
When in Ann Arbor make sure to visit the Kerrytown Farmers Market, the Michigan Theater, and Knights for a meal and stiff drink.
It’s a cute apartment right in the heart of Kerrytown. Comes with a secure parking place and you can easily walk the city and campus. This was our 2nd stay here and I’m sure we’ll be back.

Classic Ann Arbor Experience!
My husband, 4yo daughter, and I recently returned to Ann Arbor for a retirement party and stayed in this classic Ann Arbor house. The apartment is the upstairs portion of a house with a private entrance. It was spacious and comfortable and reminded us of our time in Ann Arbor. Located across the street from the farmer's market, Zingerman's Deli, Sweetwaters Coffee, and other great shopping, you can't get any better than this. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Ann Arbor!
Stayed with my husband and daughter during fall 2020 move in. The place is compact but worked really well for us. Having the office was especially helpful! As there isn't a true "living room" when the second bed is in use, this isn't the place you want if you plan on having a family game night or something, but we didn't need any of that! Make sure you are around n a Weds or Sat mornings so you can walk across the street to the farmer's Market! Accessing parking can be complicated, but once you figure out the alley and the surrounding streets (it is Ann Arbor, which is not the easiest fr driving round) it works well.
When we first arrived … was a bit worried seeing the jar of earplugs beside the bed but they were never needed. Overall an enjoyable experience and we would recommend this property for convenience, cleanliness, amenities, comfort and attention to detail. The only frustration was the inability to access the streaming services offered on the TV. Could be our age in not being able to figure it all out! Also need to update the directions to the parking spot - red building is white now - and the one way sign as something to look for would have helped … but overall a great place to call home for a few days. Thanks!
A perfect location across from the Kerrytown market and just a few blocks from Ann Arbor's best shop
Across from the Kerrytown market and just a few blocks from Ann Arbor's best shop. Private, off street parking, clear instructions. Really could not have asked for more.
Perfect stay in very central Ann arbor. We immediately felt right at home, the apartment is so clean and comfortable! One of us used the queen sofa bed and found it and the linens very comfortable. Location is amazing - We walked practically everywhere. If we return to Ann arbor we would love to stay again!
This was a great place to stay! Fantastic location by a lot of shopping and really walking distance to other places on Main St too! We plan on going back in the summer and hope that we can stay here again!
The Love Nest was clean and cozy. The bed was so comfortable! It was right across the street from Kerrytown shops. We walked everywhere. It was a great weekend!
This is a very clean and comfortable old house across the street from the Market. Great location.

I call North Carolina mountains my home, where my art studio (and garden) is located, but travel back and forth to Ann Arbor, enjoying my time in one of my Ann Arbor Guest Houses. I enjoy the diversity of my life from city to country and mountains. I love my life!
Why they chose this property
I rented this property in 1995 on the first floor and began working out of my home offering massage and facelift massage. I also painted abstract art in the front room of the first floor. As time went on, this building turned into a Spa and I took over the second floor. Now, three decades later, this building has re-invented itself and houses an apartment upstairs as well as a 2 bedroom unit downstairs called, "The Tranquil Farmhouse". This property has been a gift to me and allowed me to re-invent my businesses over and over again!
What makes this property unique
Unique benefits in Kerrytown - the list is long: Kerrytown Concert House next door (I've listened to Wynton Marsalis LIVE while lounging in bed sipping champagne); The Farmer's Market across the street; Kerrytown Shops and great food, shopping and cappucinos; Zingerman's a block away.
