Beachfront, private & tranquil. Unwind and reconnect...
"Awesome" location, "peaceful", "serene", "cosy", "amazing", "restful", "paradise" are all words guests use to describe our tiny cabin on the edge of the beach. You come to Long Point Break to escape and feel like you have your own private beach. Guests often say they never expected to find such a perfect place to escape, just for a bit.... We are off the grid. Come here if you want to walk along a beach and imagine its yours, no one else around.... because often, that is what it is like, you will be the sole people on a beach which stretches for 11km....
Long Point Break offers a fully self-contained modern 2-bedroom (2 queen beds) self-catering cabin with a modern and contemporary coastal inspired decor.
Enjoy nature's splendour either by relaxing in the cabin, relaxing on the deck or getting up close and personal on the beach, by taking the track down onto the sand. It's all at your fingertips.
Walk 11kms of pristine, untouched white sand beach combing for shells. If you are feeling adventurous you can walk all the way to Bicheno along the coast. Take a swim in our sheltered (no nasty sea breezes) corner of the beach. Fossick in the rock pools. Surf the break at the old jetty ruins. Watch the sea eagles and shearwaters (mutton birds) return to their nests upon dark. Marvel at the giant granite marbles which line the foreshores when you go exploring along the rocks.
We have a fully equipped kitchen and also a BBQ for entertaining outside.
We have Wi-Fi to help you stay connected if you feel the need and an extensive library and games section to help you disconnect from screen time.
NOTE: We recommend Telstra mobile phone service for best reception at the cabin.
What's close by? We have the beach directly in front of the cabin, so any beach activity you can think of is right at your fingertips.
Wildlife abounds!!! Particularly birdlife: Sea eagles fish off the rocks and nest nearby. Shearwaters return here every year (the only time they ever come on land) to breed during September to August. Grass parrots, wrens, wattlebirds and other honeyeaters are common. Whales and their calves often come into the bay to rest up on their migration either north or south. Seals and dolphins also follow the natural curve of the beach on their fishing expeditions. We have a large population of Padymelons and Bennett's wallabies, wombats and bandicoots... So sorry, no pets permitted.
We are halfway between Bay of Fires and Freycinet Pennisula and Wineglass Bay.
We are also halfway between Launceston and Hobart in terms of travelling time, being approximately 2 hours from both.
There are over a dozen vineyards all within one hours driving time. Local towns are also within an hours drive. Bicheno is the closest town, being a 15 minute drive away and has everything you could possibly require.

The location was perfect, the accomodation was perfect absolutely everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable and hassle free.Would loved to come back for a longer stay in the future.
Certainly the location is a highlight of this property, together with a tidy, well equipped property makes for a wonderful stay. Easy access, and close to the natural highlights of the region.
Great location, very private with amazing views and beach access. Property was very well equipped, comfortable modern and clean. Loved our stay .. highly recommend.
Beautiful view, great facilities, immaculately clean, diverse dvd selection, comfortable couch and bed. This place was everything we could have wanted for a ‘switch off’ holiday in tasmania and great location for exploring Bay of fires and freycinet.
This great cabin has the most awesome beach & ocean view - the miles of secluded beach is an amazing place. Makes you feel like your private beach hideaway. Sandra is a great host - will be back
